I had high hopes that our stay at this Marriott for the GMBC Convention would be a great experience, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing.
Shortly after checking in, I went to the second-floor ice machine and found a used cup and a clump of hair sitting on the machine’s grate. It was extremely unappealing and raised immediate concerns about the cleanliness of the property. I reported it to the first front-desk attendant, but he did not seem particularly concerned. When I mentioned it to another attendant, however, he was visibly surprised, apologized, and provided us with breakfast vouchers.
Unfortunately, the issues continued. Later, we requested two cups. Although we wrapped them in plastic, we noticed red markings on them that appeared to be either ink or lipstick. The attendant who initially provided the cups had not noticed the marks. My wife pointed them out to the second attendant, who again appeared shocked and simply shook his head, as though he could not believe yet another issue had arisen.
When we entered our room, we found that one of the curtains was broken. It appeared the issue had been concealed by keeping all of the curtains closed.
Finally, when we checked out on the 22nd, there were no luggage carts available. As a result, we had to make several trips to the car with our belongings.
Overall, this stay fell far short of what we expected from a Marriott, particularly during a convention stay. While I appreciate the apology and breakfast vouchers, the repeated cleanliness and maintenance issues made the experience frustrating and disappointing.

Air didn’t work. They wanted to try to fix it instead of moving us. We went to dinner and came back late and it was still hot!

For the price paid, breakfast should be included. I've never stayed anywhere i have to buy coffee/ breakfast. The pool, absolutely not. The pool area is hotter then outside. No one could stand it. Oh and l'et's not forget the lovely view of the 1st floor roof. And we were awakened by people on the 1st floor, though the vent by the bed.
I felt very safe at this hotel.
The customer service was exceptional.
I had the opportunity to stay here and I had Fatisha service my room and she did an amazing job cleaning my room. She was professional, thorough, and paid attention to every detail. She deserve recognition
First disappointment came at breakfast time. Went downstairs looking for a restaurant to have breakfast. All they had was a continental style breakfast. Nothing special about it. Most hotels offer it free. But when we finished eating, the server working the floor handed us our bill. $19.00 including tax. Definitely not worth that since you have to serve yourself.
Next thing was in the ladies restroom in the lobby.
Apparently someone had an accident and left residual "poop" on the floor. Looks like it had been there for awhile.
My room was clean and comfortable and my only complaint was the room phone didn't work. I was trying to reach my friend down the hall, so I walked down there and turns out hers didn't work either. Im guessing that they assume everyone has a cellphone.
There was a variety of items to choose from. The staff was very professional and accommodating after we experienced a 2 hour power outage. They took care of breakfast for both days. Thank You Angeles
It was very clean and the cleaning staff was professional and smiled each time they saw me and my niece coming or going. They also honored us by not disturbing us during our stay.
