Room and restaurant/bar
My wife and I have just had a lovely stay in The Merchant Hotel and plan to return with friends.
It's quite expensive but worth every penny, and the place to go if you want to treat yourself.
First class staff, large bedroom (we chose the art deco style), and the most beautiful dining room I can recall.
Brett's Bar was excellent for dinner and has a very good jazz vibe.
Central location in Belfast, close to good places to go.
Alt var fantastisk flott
We stayed in The Larkin Suite which was beautiful and spacious and had a large well appointed.
The hotel is very central to the CBD and the entertainment area where there were plenty of Irish Pubs to choose from.
Staff were exceptional
The hotel is excellently located for the heart of Belfast. Minutes away from the SSE arena and the Titanic exhibition. The hotel itself and service was all first class and would highly recommend a stay. They organised our day trips, valet parked our hire car and were on hand to answer all our questions. The breakfast sets you up for the day and plenty of options to eat and drink in the evening. We will be back!!
Rein gar nichts!
Grusel vom ersten Moment!
Gruselkabinett! Und ein total abgenutzer teppich überall!
Parkgebühren im gegenüberliegenden parkhaus mussten wir 2x zahlen !!
Die Koffer ohne Hilfe über Strasse ziehen!
Dieses Hotel ist auf keinen Fall Luxus '😳
Another outstanding stay. We popped up to celebrate a birthday and stay in our favourite hotel in Belfast and as usual it was perfect. Staff were amazing, dinner in the Cloth Ear was on point and the attention to detail and our guest experience was ever superlative. Massive thank you to GM Gavin and his phenomenal team.
Great location to walk in Belfast. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful.
Big clean comfortable room
Booked Great Room restaurant for our wedding dinner, told staff when booking we were coming after our wedding ceremony, saw other tables receive complimentary cakes for birthdays etc but no mention or congratulations for us, wasn’t a problem, food was great setting wonderful. Barman in the cocktail bar was marvellous, really enjoyed the cocktail bar and jazz bar, really appreciated bar staff getting the drink I liked from the cocktail bar as it wasn’t available in the Jazz bar
Breakfast was outstanding and the hotel location was perfect for our requirements. All of the rooms that we booked were very comfortable and suited our individual requirements.
There was some confusion over the availability of a table for dinner on the second evening, with availability not confirmed until the last minute.
Great location
Stayed in a suite. For the price I think they should provide a fridge
If you love historical hotels, this one can’t be beat. Its atmospheric magic sends you back in time without giving up any modern conveniences. The outside alone has stunning architecture. I treated myself to a Victorian suite. The high ceilings, flowing drapes, velvet accents, and canopy bed were truly magical. Even the bathroom was gorgeous and spacious. The layout and food in the Great Room restaurant amazed me as well. Enjoyed the Cloth Ear Pub just as much.
I was able to walk to the Titanic museum on a nice pedestrian walkway by the river in about twenty minutes. The only negative was the late music in the surrounding Cathedral Quarter on Friday/Saturday nights, so plan accordingly.
I cannot recommend this location enough! The merchant hotel was beautiful and extremely accommodating. We enjoyed drinks in the cocktail lounge, and the breakfast in the great hall. This was my favorite hotel we stayed at in all of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
