We had an amazing stay at Mövenpick Hotel in Sousse. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, especially the stunning sea view from the room — waking up and seeing the ocean every morning was unforgettable. The atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and luxurious.
The staff were all so lovely, friendly, and welcoming throughout the stay. They always made sure we were comfortable and were happy to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and professionalism really made the experience even more special.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sousse and I can’t wait to come back again!
Bad room and quality are miserable. The room disgusting no hygiene
The bathroom is not clean and need renovation as it is not working.
We stayed at Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse from the 17th for 7 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the beautiful views and the decent beaches with clear water. The beach area felt safe as there was security present throughout the day, and there were plenty of affordable water activities available such as jet skiing and parasailing, which were much cheaper compared to many EU or Middle Eastern destinations.
The pool staff were hardworking, polite, and always helpful with towels and assisting families with children. The reception ladies were also very professional, helpful, and communicated well whenever we had issues or questions.
However, one of the biggest disappointments during our stay was the ongoing construction work near the pool area. There was constant noise from trucks, digging, hammering, and other building works throughout the day. Dust and sand were also blowing towards the pool area, which affected the overall atmosphere. Guests come on holiday to relax and enjoy peace and quiet, so this was quite frustrating and should ideally have been communicated beforehand or managed better.
We also had an issue with the room setup. We booked expecting a larger bed arrangement as it was myself, my partner, and my son staying together, and we specifically requested a super king-size bed. Unfortunately, this request was not actioned, and the standard double bed felt too small. This was disappointing considering we paid a significant amount for the trip to celebrate both my son’s and parents’ birthdays.
The hotel beach itself is very nice, but I would strongly recommend adding a beach bar so guests can easily get drinks and snacks without needing to walk back to the pool area or wait for staff attention.
The pool service also needs improvement. During our stay, there were only two staff members covering a large number of guests, and as a result we often waited 20–30 minutes for drinks or snacks.
In the evenings, the reception/lounge seating area has a nice atmosphere with plenty of sofas and seating, but unfortunately the customer service there was poor. Staff were very slow when taking orders for drinks and snacks, which made the experience frustrating.
If you are looking for lively entertainment or music around the pool area, this hotel may not be for you. The atmosphere was extremely quiet and there were very few activities throughout the day. Apart from some gym sessions, there was little entertainment provided. It felt quite boring at times unless guests created their own atmosphere with personal speakers and music.
The indoor heated pool was good and relaxing, although the water is salty. The spa facilities, massages, sauna, and couples packages are also a positive feature for anyone wanting relaxation treatments.
Regarding food, there is one main restaurant with a reasonable variety. While some dishes repeated, most evenings offered different meal options. However, the fruits and desserts were almost the same every day. Guests should also note that wet clothing is not allowed inside the restaurant, which is understandable. We also tried both the Spanish and Japanese restaurants, which require booking in advance, but personally we did not enjoy them much as many of the dishes felt very similar to what was already offered in the main restaurant.
Overall, based on our experience and time spent at the resort, I would rate the hotel 4 out of 5. The resort has great potential thanks to its location, beach, and helpful staff, but there are several areas that need improvement. If management focuses more on guest feedback, improves entertainment, customer service speed, and avoids disruptive construction during busy holiday periods, it would definitely attract even more visitors in the future.
During my holiday at the Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse, I visited the hotel gym and was thoroughly impressed. The facility itself is excellent, but what truly made the experience outstanding was Coach Amine.
He is an absolute professional—highly knowledgeable, attentive, and dedicated to delivering a premium fitness experience. Whether you are looking to maintain your routine or need expert guidance while away from home, Coach Amine ensures you train with proper technique and efficiency.
It is rare to find this level of high-quality, professional coaching in a hotel gym. He is a fantastic asset to the resort's wellness offerings. Highly recommended for anyone staying at the Mövenpick Sousse!
This was not our first time in Tunisia, we had previously visited Tunis and Hammamet. However, Sousse truly impressed us. The hotel was excellent, and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
A special compliment goes to the gym and its staff. We felt very comfortable there. The two girls and Amine are very professional and genuinely care about the guests’ well-being. A big thank you to the whole team!
We will definitely come back again.☀️😎
Thank you for the excellent service and warm hospitality during our stay at the hotel. A special thanks to Moheb for being extremely hardworking, helpful, and always supportive.
I would also like to sincerely appreciate the housekeeping team, especially Hania, for her outstanding cleaning service, professionalism, and attention to detail. She kept the room perfectly clean and provided excellent room service throughout our stay.
Special thanks as well to Captain Amin at the gym for his exceptional care and attention to the guests. His dedication, professionalism, and valuable fitness advice and training support truly made the gym experience outstanding and enjoyable.
Thank you all for making our experience comfortable and enjoyable. 🙏
My room is very very very clean, bathroom very very very clean and view is amazing and towels is very good .thank you Hadia and chedia
A review of the Movenpick hotel, restaurant and spa in Tunisia. Please mention the kitchen staff especially Samia and Ibrahim who make my breakfast time enjoyable. Marwa, the cleaner who always left a special in the room. She us so good at creating different designs with the towels. The pool staff were also great. Made sure I was comfortable and have drinks or food
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mövenpick Hotel and I can honestly say the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel, restaurant, and spa all exceeded our expectations, creating a relaxing and memorable stay.
A special thank you goes to the kitchen staff, especially Samia and Ibrahim, who made every breakfast enjoyable. Their warm hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly brightened our mornings and made us feel so welcomed each day.
We would also like to recognise Marwa from housekeeping, who always left a special touch in our room. Her creativity with the towel designs was amazing, and it was something I looked forward to returning to every day. She clearly takes great pride in her work, and it really added a personal and thoughtful touch to our stay.
The pool staff were also fantastic — always attentive, friendly, and making sure we were comfortable with drinks and food whenever needed. Their excellent service made relaxing by the pool even more enjoyable.
Overall, the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable, welcoming, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tunisia.
Our stay at the Mövenpick Hotel was simply fantastic. The hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and an overall very enjoyable experience.
We would especially like to highlight Amine from the hotel gym. He is extremely friendly, professional, and always treats guests with great respect and kindness. His patience is truly remarkable, and his helpful attitude left a lasting impression on us.
A very special thank you to him for his outstanding dedication and support. Employees like Amine truly make the difference and contribute greatly to making guests feel genuinely welcome.🙏🏻☺️
Hadil provided excellent customer service. Will definitely visit again. She is an asset to the hotel. Great hotel and service. Thank you.
I booked two rooms at the Mövenpick to stay with my daughter and her fiancé, who is from Sousse and recommended it as one of the nicest hotels in town. It is indeed a lovely hotel with a grand lobby and gorgeous pool area; the rooms and the breakfast buffet had the feel of a nice family beach resort that could use a little updating. Our rooms were fine, my pool view was very nice, but there were several aspects of the experience that I found disappointing. A major concern was that the shower in my daughter and son-in-law’s room broke on our second day; it took multiple calls over the span of an entire day to get someone in to fix it, and it promptly broke again on the second use. I also felt that there was an unprofessional attitude on the part of some employees. I booked both rooms myself on my own credit card, and listed myself and my daughter as the primary guests in each. Due to local norms regarding unmarried men and women staying together, I understood that the hotel would likely prefer to list one room in my name and the other in my son-in-law’s name to preserve the notion that my daughter was staying with me—we encountered this at our previous Tunisian hotel, and the staff was very considerate and respectful around this issue. The Mövenpick staff, however, expressed some unpleasant attitude when my daughter requested a repair to her shower in what they considered to be her fiancé’s room. I also found that, every time I attempted to charge a meal or drink to my room, I was told only my son-in-law could authorize charges—even for the room listed in my name. Again, I never had this problem at my previous hotel in Tunis. Finally, I was very offended by an inappropriate comment made by one of the pool staff to me about my daughter in her bathing suit; I can’t imagine what might have happened if my son-in-law had been present to hear it—though I also feel certain the man never would have said it in that case. Many of the employees we encountered were friendly and professional, and our food and drinks were good, but these experiences brought down our overall impression of the hotel.
I’m having such a lovely stay at this hotel that I had to leave a review already. From the moment I arrived, the reception girl Amani was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful, making me feel comfortable straight away. The waitress Haider was also absolutely amazing — so friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They both made my first day extra special and created such a positive atmosphere.
A special thank you as well to Saber, who works by the pool. What really touched me is that even though I haven’t visited the hotel in almost 3 years, he still remembered me. That kind of personal care and hospitality means so much and is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this hotel over the years.
Thank you all for making my stay feel like home again!
We stayed in room 4048 at the Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse for 6 nights as a family with our young baby daughter, and we have to give a very special mention to two outstanding members of staff.
Karima, our room cleaner, maintained our room to an exceptional standard throughout our entire stay. Every surface was spotless, the bathroom always gleaming, and every little detail taken care of. Travelling with a baby meant cleanliness was a top priority for us, and Karima exceeded our expectations every single day. Her warmth, professionalism and pride in her work were clear to see from day one.
Lubna was equally outstanding. We had several specific requests throughout our stay and she handled every single one with efficiency, grace and a genuine desire to make our experience special. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she always followed through without us having to chase anything. Truly exceptional service.
Together these two ladies made what was already a beautiful resort into an unforgettable experience. We were celebrating our daughter's first birthday and our wedding anniversary, and both Karima and Lubna played a big part in making it as special as it was.
We will absolutely be returning — thank you both so much! 🙏
Our stay at Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse was simply exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the elegance of the hotel, the quality of the services, and the refined atmosphere throughout the property. Everything was perfectly designed to provide an experience of absolute comfort and relaxation.
A very special thank you to Oussama, whose professionalism, attentiveness, and kindness truly made our stay unforgettable. His warm welcome, constant smile, and impeccable service deserve special recognition. He made every moment even more enjoyable with great class and genuine care.
We leave with wonderful memories and will gladly return. A place we highly recommend without hesitation.
The location of the Hotel is very good and the Best one in the staff of the Hotel is Haroun in the reception with his kindness and support during my stay.
Basma from cleaning staff make the room very clean.
I have been there by myself to have some time to rest and the resort was so extraordinary, especially the gym, and the coach Eya Romdhani, she made me feel like god did sent her to that place to help me through my workout sessions she’s so nice, professional and intelligent. I’m so sure that i will book with you again❤️
I highly recommend Movenpick resort in Sousse. The hotel staff very polite, kind and professional. The hotel is so big the food is delicious. My room was very very very clean and the staff Souhir and Chadia was very good professional and really helpful always keep my room extremely clean and smell very nice. The people who work at the hotel makes a very big difference. I highly recommend the hotel.
Movenpick is a 5* in looks, but thats where it ends. Bedding is hard and bobbly, from being washed to many times. Breakfast is quite limited, always running out of cups/saucers, given paper cups most mornings, not five star quality. staff not friendly, unless your non english. no cutlery set on tables, have to ask for everything. Evening meals slighty better. pool area is lovely, the waiter there is lovely. The beach outside the hotel is filthy, covered in broken pieces of plastic & broken pottery. foot wear needed.
I really enjoyed my experience at the gym, especially thanks to the amazing energy and effort from the coaches Shayma and Nourhene. They are both very professional, motivating, and supportive. Thank you for creating such a great and positive atmosphere!
Quite disappointed with this hotel. We went for an all inclusive 3 night break with friends, and would say it was OK at best.
Rooms - nice, clean, spacious, bath, with shower, not walk in shower. Comfy bed. Make sure you get a sea / pool view, one of us had a street facing room and had to move as it was so noisy.
Food - v average. Not a great choice, not many veg
Facilities - a lot shut as it was out of season, but the indoor pool was great and heated. Salt water. The jets and jacuzzi elements weren't working.
Service - this was the bit that most needs sorting. Some of the staff were excellent and very helpful - but there are WAY too many managers and not enough staff. We joked that they looked like UN or FIFA officials. All standing around doing very little, but ordering the workers about. Nowhere near enough staff serving, so you had to wait ages for drinks at the restaurant, and for them to clear the tables. The funniest was the guy in the round bar. One person serving - he was great, but one just standing around in a suit bossing him about, and looked like he was just spying on him TBH. He had to go and get him if you asked him for a drink. Utterly pointless and at one point he was even just poking his head through a crack in the door to keep an eye on things. Hilarious really.
