Location and amenities
Surprises on last everything.
At arrival we were told parking is not free and we have to pay 30 dollars per night.
Despite the booking having breakfast included we were told only 2 adults can have breakfast and we have to pay for the 3rd adult.
To top is all up, on the last day we were charged an " extra adult fee" for each night!!!!
Will definitely not stay here next and will not recommend this property.
Quiet, clean, great staff, good food, skytrain very close. Complementary coffee tea & cookies doesn’t hurt the scoring either
There was nothing during my stay that I could point to
Very close to airport
Didn’t have airport shuttle service 24 hours
Friendly, professional,
Clearly interested in creating a great stay!
The hotel is a short drive from the airport and they provide a free shuttle bus that runs every 30mins. We were only there for a 1 night stay and enjoyed a late check out, the use of their gym and pool. Having the onsite restaurant (although a tad overpriced) also made it convenient.
Getting to the pool and gym is a bit of a "rabbit warren". It would have been nice to have had access to the outdoor area from the pool. I think this hotel is over-priced but it seems that all hotels close to the airport in Vancouver are ridiculously expensive. The service in the restaurant could have been better too.
We enjoyed an overnight stay at the Westin Wall Centre. Location is right in the thick of it all, near to the airport complex. The rooms are very nice, clean, and the property was clean. No club lounge available, but they did offer breakfast (very good BTW) in the main level restaurant instead of points for those with status. Parking is adjacent. Pool and hot tub are on the back of the property and indoors. Great visit.
From start to finish, our experience was amazing. The gal who checked us in gave us each a complementary drink for my 50th birthday.. Snacks and sparkling water was also placed in our room with a happy birthday message. The food in the restaurant was incredible. All the staff were very professional and friendly. Hotel is very nice and clean. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Vancouver.
Everything was great, staff was friendly and free shuttle to airport is great. Amenities were great too
Sign for hot tub that only greater than 16 ages can do it, never seen that before
We booked with you for one night, July 6. On July 5th, our daughter's first baby died after one hour of life. It was very traumatic, and we needed to be with her. She was born 5 weeks too early.
We just could not leave that day, but did stay at the Westin on Tuesday, the 7th, at our expense.
Could you please help me to get reimbursed for what we paid Booking for the 6th? You did have use get insurance for the 6th, but I'm not techy (82 yo) and don't know how.
This was a very nice property with helpful, friendly staff. The pros outweighed the cons but sharing details here to help other travelers. Great beds, nice linens and towels, friendly helpful service. The hotel definitely has a higher-end, luxury feel to it. The neighborhood felt very safe and lots of fantastic Asian dining choices nearby. Parking in the garage was very convenient and close to lobby although parking fees are way too high. My room was very humid throughout the trip but they were able provide a dehumidifier which corrected the issue. I also found that the air conditioning barely got the room cool enough on lowest setting. The bedding is the typical Westin heavy down comforters so I had to request thinner blankets. We weren't there on a hot weekend so I would have excepted the AC to work better. Also, as is typical of Westin hotels, there was no small shop to purchase snacks/drinks/toiletries. I realize this is common amongst luxury hotels but it's a big inconvenience for guests - I needed hairspray but had to drive to purchase some. It's nice to be able to grab and snack and drink in the evening to bring to the room. I feel like people of all demographics would appreciate a little convenience while traveling. Personally, I'm still looking for a chain that combines the right combo of luxury + convenience. I may or may not stay again. I would be concerned about staying again and having the dehumidifiers all out of stock as the room felt quite like a steam sauna without that amenity. I may be more inclined to return in winter.
Excellent hotel, beautiful rooms, convenient airport shuttle, great service. Delicious food in the hotel restaurant. Two blocks from Skyline Metro stop. Friendly and caring staff.
Quarto muito bom
O restaurante deixou a desejar!
Caro e ruim.
PRO: Great location close to airport, subway stop. Definitely recommend river view with nice view of city and mountains in the background. Noise insulation was great as we could see occasional airplanes land nearby and barely even hear the airplane. No noise heard from neighbors so slept very well. As platinum elite member, they offered free breakfast and drinks at lobby restaurant while they were open. My son had breakfast and was very pleased. I did not try their breakfast as I opted to take advantage of nearby Chinese/Taiwanese breakfast options in city of Richmond instead. Westin showers with the great water pressure is always a favorite of ours and the extra tub is nice addition to the bathroom. Complimentary airport shuttle is a nice perk as well. Allows dogs with no extra fee. Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to Richmond Night Market (Fri/Sat/Sun evenings)
CON: no lounge at this hotel, which was a disappointment. Although the carpet was better than typical hotel carpets, would have still preferred more modern non-carpeted flooring. Parking garage was odd, with no direct connection between the hotel and garage, just have to walk through the car entrance basically to get to and from hotel, so don't make the mistake I made of trying to find a connecting door just to set off the alarm.
Overall, wonderful hotel and would definitely come back next time I'm in Vancouver!
I cannot stress how amazing my stay was at The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport! The airport shuttle, staff, the room, The Apron restaurant were simply incredible! I had no idea The Apron restaurant had a gluten allergy menu! So good!!
