The staff were all friendly and the building had a nice ambience. It was totally walkable to the fall.
We could see an exposed water pipe on the ceiling, and because of the rain, the noise from the pipe was awful during the night, waking us up many times. We were staying in a room on the second floor, but it felt like we were lying just beneath a waterfall. We were worried the pipe might burst. Fortunately, the noise stopped after the second day once the weather cleared.
The property was beautiful and set in a very walkable area. The historic beauty of the building was a joy to stay in while enjoying the modern amenities.
The only thing about the property that I would love to see address is the handicapped room is not truly a handicap room for someone in a wheelchair. To get around the room there was not a lot of space and the bathroom shower did not have a handheld shower to give a shower to my husband.
Bits of ceiling stuco falling on the headboard and top of bed. Staff did not clean up. There was a LOT of it behind the bed.
As above but the staff was excellent so it made the stay ok.
Location was good for the falls and state park.
The bar was cosy and comfortable. The barman was excellent.
The reception staff were really nice too.
The bed linen was really not nice quality. I’m not even sure it was cotton. It felt synthetic and horrible and as a result did not have a good sleep. It wouldn’t take much to improve this imo.
That was one big negative for us. The second one was the breakfast. It was awful.
Also there was quite a lot of noise from adjoining rooms.
The general decor is slightly dated.
If you need to overnight in US side this is good option. Rooms are good and the rooftop has a nice views fo the fireworks.
Nice old style bar.
Friendly service, very clean, I would rebook again!
Location was convenient to everything. Great location.
No microwave in room.

Did not stay - they cancelled my booking that morning
Did not stay - they cancelled my booking that morning. Only writing this review to stop Booking.com message continually popping up
The staff was very friendly and helpful all through the night. I had flight issues and the staff left a turnover report for the next shift and kept the process going without any hiccups
On arrival into Buffalo, my friend and I were held up at the airport due to an item being left on the aircraft. As it was past midnight, no one was there and we had to stay at the airport and get their help when they opened the next morning. When I explained my situation to this hotel, the lady who answered my call was very gracious in helping me hold my room, and even gave us an hour extension when we arrived at 6am the following morning so that we could get some rest after our ordeal. It was because of her help that I was put at ease during my ordeal, and I would like to thank the staff for that. Only complaint is the breakfast location, I found it rather small considering the crowd level, and we ended up waiting for quite a while before a table became vacant.
