The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff was great! I loved the coffee shop!
Only bad thing about the property is that almost all restaurants in the area close at 3
The hotel has been restored after decades of neglect- because it is a 100 year old historic site there are compromises to the restoration. the memorabilia that had been used to enhance the hallways and common areas is quite interesting. The staff were generally very responsive especially the valets and bar/restaurant staff. The front desk at times did not answer the phone or put you on hold...and forgot you.
Information provided on Booking.com was inadequate and it was hard to find details on the links to the hotel website. We reserved a suite with full kitchen but no where did we see that the kitchen was not fully stocked. Apparently, you bring your own cookware, plates, glasses, utensils, etc OR pay extra for their 'kitchen in a box" that included the bare minimum service for 2 and cheap pans. Housekeeping did the bare minimum and several time 'missed' our room so we had to wait for service.
They have a penthouse bar and another bar near the lobby. There is a store inside that has another small bar and you can buy Starbucks coffee there too.
There isn’t a whole lot to walk to nearby but there is a Vietnamese restaurant that you can walk to in under 5 mins that has good food.
The Mayo Hotel was just beautiful, we treated ourselves to one night stay at the end of our trip, and it didn't disappoint. The downstairs 1925 bar was stunning, the beds were COMFORTABLE. Was an amazing stay
We were checking out at 4am to get an early flight and the man behind the desk was really curt with us, so a bad taste end to what was a beautiful stay. Also, parking is $30 but I booked it knowing this, so just a word in case people don't realise.
Расположение, парковка для автомобиля.
Отсутствие завтрака. Громкая работа кондиционера, мешающая спать.
Our rooms were the size of a roomy one bedroom apartment for the price of a bedroom. The staff were friendly, thoughtful and accommodating.
We took advantage of the optional valet parking, and it was great. The car was always waiting for us when we got off the elevator in the lobby, and someone was always on hand and available to take the car away when we returned.
Another example—my wife saw a water dispenser urn in the lobby, and mistook it for a coffee pot. When she was surprised/disappointed that it was only water, a nearby porter offered to bring her a cup of coffee, and went into the Starbucks coffee shop in the lobby and immediately returned with a complimentary cup of coffee, for which he refused compensation—neither for the cost of the coffee nor as a tip. Amazing!
No complaints. My wife, a domestic and international flight attendant for 34 years, is a very knowledgeable and experienced traveler. She has stayed in first-class accommodations all over the world.
She insists (and I agree) that we have no complaints. So, keep up the good work!
Top Hotel mit Charm
Outstanding! So spacious and stylish! Very comfortable accommodations! Awesome bar right in the lobby!
Paying for valet isn’t exciting, but I am happy I read the FAQs and knew before I arrived. It could be more forward in the details, or included in the price to begin with.

Top Lage in Downtown, sehr gemütliche Hotelbar. Große Zimmer im Stil der 1920er
It was beautiful and the accommodations were awesome.
The parking situation is a pain when you check in and out but there’s nothing that can be done about that. On a positive note, it was easy to find street parking close to the hotel on the weekend as long as you do so before 8-9 pm.
Beautiful property with very helpful staff.
Street noise is significant at lower levels.
Location, friendly staff, decor.
The suite we stayed in did not have any utensils..
