Accessibility to everything. Water stations on the island to fill up water bottles was a big help!
Having to leave. Will definitely return.
Thankyou :)
Restaurant was ordinary and expensive
Great location
Was just a beautiful place
The markup on the drinks was a lot. Would have liked paper information instead of just qr codes :)
Firstly, let me say that this whole island is just hugely overpriced and now I understand why Aussies go overseas for island holidays. The prices are absolutely ridiculous and do not represent good value for money. Sadly, it’s now been sold overseas to corporate globalists and is no longer a family owned Australian business.
This is my second visit to Hamilton Island, and last time we stayed at Qualia, which was actually good value for money. The reef view hotel is just so overpriced for what you get.
However, we did have a really nice room - a king coral Sea view room and it had been renovated. The view was incredible! Given the price I would not like to be in anything less than this. We were most happy with this room, even with the incredibly loud building works going on nearby, which drove us insane. That can’t be helped, but it would’ve been nice if the hotel could’ve warned us so we could’ve had earplugs.
I enjoyed the pool downstairs and it seemed to have the least amount of out of control children which I found at the other pool. I had a piña colada one day at the pool and let me say that is the only cocktail I would drink there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The price of cocktails at this resort is absolutely out of control - Way overpriced with the cheapest nastiest alcohol you can get. I knew if I got a piña colada I wouldn’t taste the nasty cheap rum and if I just had one, I wouldn’t end up with a massive headache. This turned out to be a very good choice.
What was really outstanding was the buffet breakfasts. We ate at the buffet each morning, and the selection was absolutely fabulous, especially the tropical fruit. I am a small eater and GF but managed to have a nice breakfast each time. The GF selection of pastries was pretty yuck but I was able to load up on fruit and Chia pudding along with a hot breakfast.
One of the best things we did was go to the local IGA and purchase some champagne and nibbles to enjoy on our balcony and some supplies for lunches.
The balcony was very spacious with comfortable seating, which was a great place to sit champagne and read a book or just enjoy the beautiful view. The cockatoos were very entertaining and didn’t bother us. We just made sure they were kept outside by keeping our screen door closed.
Great location, with even the ‘garden view’ rooms facing the water and pool. Our room on the 3rd floor had been recently renovated, with a very nice bathroom and great amenities.
Staying at this hotel gives you free access to other pools, beach activity equipment (kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling gear etc) for free plus the use of the island’s fitness & gym centre.
Very little to complain about. Breakfast buffet is expensive ($51) so if you’re not a big eater in the morning it’s not good value and there’s no à la carte option.
Absolutely loved staying here. The view was incredible, all staff were outstanding and the buffet breakfast was delicious and quickly restocked if anything ran out. The rooms themself are really spacious and cannot be faulted. Love love loved.
Housekeeping often came late in the afternoon around 2/3pm and some days they didn't come at all and had to be requested. Not a huge issue though.
The room was quite outstanding and certainly much bigger than I expected. The balcony looked out to the ocean and was large, annoyingly the cockatoos come looking for food but if you ignore them, they eventually leave. The view was brilliant. Breakfast was busy but everything ran smoothly and the staff were busy. The choices were amazing and you could certainly sit there for a long time to enjoy everything, impressed with everything available.
Great clean up to date resort with views and location. Wonderful restaurants and bars.
Not cheap. I went for 1 night due to flight timing, but won’t be going back.
Breakfast was great plenty of choice! The location was lovely right across from the beach
I thought the rooms were outdated
Location
Cleanness and bar
Room service is almost none existent
Location and view was amazing, pools and beach bars were good.
Buffet breakfast was a let down for the money charged. Property could do with an update.
