Exactly as described! Don’t you hate when you book a hotel room only to be disappointed when you walk into the room and it’s not nearly as nice as pictured in the photos? Well I can assure you that this is a beautiful hotel that won’t disappoint! Very comfy beds, well appointed room and a view of the harbor is gorgeous! Also, don’t miss having dinner at the restaurant, Balcony! Absolutely delicious!

The Bar and food service was slow and below par, needs to be improved. We never recieved 2nd round of drinks for an hour and had to cancel

Not worthy, the front desk attempt to be helpful but in fact they do not return calls, or follow up. The facilities appear to be modern but the service remains inadequate.
We have just returned from a week's hiking trip to the wonderful Azores. We stayed the first night and last night at the Grand Hotel ACores Atlantico and have only good things to say about the hotel and the staff. The rooms are good size, quiet and have all the amenities you need, especially welcome were the USB ports which we didn't have at any of the other hotels we stayed at on the island and a kettle for late night tea. Breakfast service plentiful with lots of choice and helpful wait staff for special coffee or other requests. Staff very helpful with taxis and reconfiguring beds. Turndown service still gives a little chocolate - missing in most hotels these days. Location excellent right on the sea and 15 minutes from the airport. I would be most happy to recommend it and return sometime soon.

Breakfast was difficult to get servers as they were very busy. Food was ok.
We spent six nights at the hotel. First rate service from all their staff. We had some check-in questions before the trip and their staff answered our emails within the hour. Room was immaculate and the housekeeping efficient and discrete. Water front location is the best in Ponta Delgado. Highly recommend!
Das Zimmer war schön, im Grand Hotel Style. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer auf Meer und Hafen war toll. Das Frühstückbuffet ist reichhaltig und gut, Spätaufsteher haben dann nicht mehr die ganz grosse Auswahl, aber man kann nachbestellen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, das Valet Parking hat super geklappt!
Obsługa bardzo uprzejma. Wszyscy starali się zadowolić nasze oczekiwania i mam wrażenie trochę podciągnąć ogólne wrażenie.
Funkcjonalność łazienki zdecydowanie do poprawy. Mieliśmy pokój z łazienką w której nie było zadnej półki na kosmetyki. Żeby nie kłaść ich na podłogę wstawiliśmy do łazienki stolik z pokoju. Nie było to idealne rozwiązanie ponieważ pogorszyliśmy w ten sposób funkcjonalność pokoju.
Na śniadanie codziennie te same dania. Monotonne. Mały wybór warzyw i sałatek.
Podczas meldowania otrzymaliśmy voucher na powitalnego drinka. Niestety żeby z niego skorzystać trzeba było kupić posiłek restauracji.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is central and incredibly convenient.
The Room:
The beds are very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Great attention to detail: the bed reading lights have switches right on the cord, making them easy to turn on and off without getting up.
Equipped with a small fridge, a safe, a Nespresso machine, and an electric kettle featuring tea from a local plantation.
The light on the makeup mirror doubles perfectly as a nightlight.
High-quality bath products provided.
Dining:
The lobby bar/lounge serves great food all day and mixes excellent cocktails.
A large, very high-quality breakfast buffet was included in our stay.
Service & Amenities:
The staff is excellent and highly attentive, from the front desk and waitstaff to the team helping with luggage and valet.
They truly go the extra mile. When I had trouble logging into the Wi-Fi, I called the desk, and they immediately sent someone to my room to fix it—I didn’t even have to go downstairs.
Valet parking is very reasonably priced at just €14, and they retrieve your car quickly whenever you need it.

I've stayed here for a total of 8 nights. I do quite a bit of travel for business and leisure purposes, and have been to many, many 5* and 4* properties. The Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico may actually be the best one I've been to yet. Their focus on customer service and overall guest experience is unrivaled. The staff (reception, doormen, housekeeping, breakfast restaurant) were lovely and highly professional in all aspects and across all of my interactions. Make sure to get an ocean view room and make use of the valet parking service.
