Well maintained.
Difficult to get to, maybe a shuttle bus provided for train passengers.
Beautiful spa area and staff were great.
Bed extremely uncomfortable and room was very hot. The shower was pretty disgusting. Had black pieces of grim and dirt coming out the shower head covering my skin. The food we had at golf club was awful to say the least. Microwaved - parts extremely hot and then freezing cold. We felt like the time to check
In and try use the spa to time it closed and catch somewhere for dinner wasn’t great. The steam room I think it was, was smashed and unusable. Felt it very strange that we couldn’t even buy a bottle of water anywhere or no drinks/teas/ coffees from bar at the spa area for such a beautiful relaxation area. Felt like we had to get up and leave to try and get a drink. Then don’t really have time in morning after to use the spa again before check out. Overall very poor for the costs paid. I don’t think we would recommend.
Beautifully situated for our travel needs and watching the Hotelplanner Event.
No Netflix on the bedroom TV’s. Need Smart TV’s!!
Breakfast was good, but I've stayed in this property many times and whilst it was good overall, it is not as good as it used to be, which was a far more personal experience. It now feels just like a hotel.
I thought the atmosphere was lacking
Beautiful grounds and buildings, and incredibly friendly staff.
the cottages said “breakfast included” but this isnt actually hotel breakfast, this is £25 to use in the store to make your own breakfast. We were also told we’d get a discount at the spa but were charged full price. Despite having a massage booked, we also had to pay £65 per person to use the pool for an hour before our massage. I do not recommend staying here, it’s a price gauge and incredibly expensive for what it was.
The spa facilities were amazing.. We stayed in the cottages , so being able to bring the dog was great. The whiskey bar was open till late , cocktails were amazing also. The overall hotel is extremely impressive. Having £25 to spend at the shop on breakfast items, was a great wee touch. I will definitely be back to this luxury experience.
Nothing!!! I was extremely impressed with this hotel experience. Highly recommend
Nice location- and that is all.
I have stayed at quite a few Hyatt hotels with my family and usually had a pleasant experience. Not here however. Located nicely int he countryside (therefore two and not one star), it is rather far from the next restaurant outside the hotel. Needed dinner for ourselves and our four children. Restaurants did not have tables. We tried room service and were told by a moderately polite concierge that room service is not available in the cottages of the hotel. I offered to wait and take it. I was then told that the restaurants do not do „take outs“ (to their own hotel. Ended up driving with four hungry kids to find nothing but a take out in the next village.
Breakfast the next day: booked on booking.com expressly including breakfast. Confirmation also states this clearly. Hotel says, no breakfast and only a voucher of GBP 25 for 4 persons in total to be spent in an onsite supermarket. Rip off is the polite term for this. If you want to read the other experiences with stays in cottages in this hotel, just enter the search term on tripadvisor re the fees they charge for the spa without telling you first and so on.
My last stay in a Hyatt and a terrible experience. I cannot recommend anyone, in particular families with smaller children coming to this place.
We stayed at one of the 2 bedroom cottages. It was nice however no privacy as golfers walk right past within close proximity so can see you walking around in your pyjamas.
Also to note is that you do not have access to the hotel pool. You can buy a day pass but at £95 per person per day it seems very expensive when you have already spent money on your stay.
You get a £25 voucher to spend at the estate shop per day. However if I hadn’t been before I would not have known this as no one told me at check in. You have to spend it before 12 noon and cannot pool the money to do one big shop so have to visit each morning.
It was a great atmosphere and experience
Really good
Nothing
Everything absolute stunning
Nothing
Stunning property and grounds. It is absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The outdoor spa is fantastic
Wanted to charge an extra £150 to change from cottage breakfast to breakfast within the hotel.
Cottage wasn't the cleanest and staff weren't helpful with a few queries we had, very dismissive.
