Once you arrive, you won't want to leave the hotel. Spectacular views and the friendliest staff. Just awesome.
There should be a category with 10 stars for very special places like Anantara. We were very warmly greeted by Mirko who during our stay made us feel like family. The cleanliness, service by entire staff, unparalleled views and the totality of the experience cannot be surpassed. If you’re looking for the ultimate Amalfi experience, this is it. Grazie, Anantara
Incredible property and views. The location is exceptional too
Breakfast very average at best, and the 2nd restaurant was under maintenance
Many hotels describe themselves as five-star properties, yet not all deliver on that promise. Anantara truly stands apart. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, and it genuinely lives up to its five-star reputation.
The property itself is remarkable, set within one of the oldest buildings, originally a monastery dating back to the 13th century. Despite this rich history, the interior is impeccably modern and pristine, creating a unique contrast that makes you momentarily forget the building’s age.
The views from our room were breathtaking, adding to an already memorable experience. Equally impressive was the staff—consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.
I highly recommend this hotel. It offers a rare combination of historic charm, modern luxury, and exceptional service, making it one of the finest places I have ever experienced.
We came here for the last two nights of our 11 day honeymoon in the Amalfi coast with the goal for a relaxing and easy stay with beautiful views. We had an amazing experience at the property, which is simply immaculate and creative. You feel like you are separate from all the commotion and just get to soak in the natural scenery and setting on the cliffs. We had the best meals of our entire trip at the restaurants here.
We loved Convento Anantara so much it was almost painful to leave. I’ve traveled to Italy many times, but this experience was entirely different—far beyond a hotel stay. It felt like a full immersion into Italian culture at its finest.
This resort is breathtaking. The sweeping views of the Amalfi Coast are nothing short of spectacular, and every corner of the property—from the meticulously kept grounds to the peaceful cloister and chapel—felt like stepping into a work of art.
What truly sets Anantara apart, however, is the service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and grace that it immediately set the tone for everything that followed. Every interaction reflected a level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail that made us feel both pampered and completely at ease.
The infinity pool overlooking the beautiful Tyrrhenian sea was easily one of our favorite highlights. It’s hard to imagine a more stunning setting, and the pool staff went above and beyond to ensure our family’s comfort—anticipating needs before we even had to ask.
On our final evening, we experienced the chef’s tasting dinner, and it was unforgettable. Each course was creative, beautifully presented, and filled with flavors we’ll be talking about for years to come.
This was not just a hotel stay—it was an experience our family will cherish forever. We cannot wait to return.
One of my favorite phrases is “Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.”
Grazie Mille Anantara Staff, you will be remembered!
The facility is lovely with its beautiful views, appreciation for its history, and delicious healthy breakfast options. Plus, the staff are very attentive!
风景很好的一家酒店 服务员服务也好 前台停车服务很赞。
The hotel is, sorry to say so, an expensive place, but if you intend to stay in the area for two or three days, just stay at this hotel for one day and experience what this hotel can offer you, If you are well to do, this is where you belong. The premises is wonderful and impressive, and need to add, you will enjoy meeting with people who enjoy working here.
Simply stunning hotel overlooking the sea. Lemon trees, bougainvillea and lupina pergolas with the most amazing colours. The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated with great attention to details. Breakfast was served a la carte with a menu for freshly cooked items and all overlooking the ocean. The staff was very polite, personable which made the stay perfect.
Since the hotel used to be a convent, it still has an intact cloister and a monk which takes you back in history about this amazing place.
The fine dining restaurant offered an incredible dinner menu with exciting flavor combinations without being pretentious. You can sense that the staff is incredible proud and involved in every step. The pool view is incredible and the lemon sorbet served was a perfect gift on a hot day.
Make sure to ask for their special sourced tomatoes which have the most amazing flavour! Can’t wait to go back!!!
We had some major travel setbacks owing to conditions out of our control. The hotel management was lovely in helping us find our way through. Top class.
It’s a unique hotel woth excellence in service and attention. The privacy and the view of the rooms are amazing. Breakfast is very complete for all types of diets and the restaurant is great for a romantic evening
Despite the weather was around 20 oC they still had the air conditioning system off. We felt a little warm in rhe room.
I went with my husband for my birthday. I wanted simple and luxurious and the hotel totally hit the spot for me. We were upgraded to an apartment with a hot tub. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, as was the pool and the easy walk into town - about 10 minutes. We didn't eat in the hotel or use the spa, which are expensive. We flew to Naples and arrived late on Thursday and stayed in a cheap hotel in Naples and spent the day sight seeing then got a taxi to the hotel (approx £200). On Saturday we go a boat to Positano - but didn't stay long, it isn't as lovely as Amalfi and we didn't want to be restricted waiting for a boat back. We walked the Path of the Lemons on Sunday - walking to the start. It was a lovely walk that gave a good sense of the area. We left the hotel on Monday and got a taxi to Pompeii and then got the train - right next to the entrance - into Naples and then a taxi (£22) to the airport which took about half an hour in the rush hour. This was perfect for a couple of days. I was worried by one review that had said in a different location this wouldn't be a 5 star hotel. I couldn't disagree more. It's a beautiful hotel, with great helpful friendly staff and I would highly recommend.
Amazing location. Amazing views and setting. Very nice service. Great comfort, authentic and not bling bling. We were upgraded to a room with terrace, jacuzzi and stunning view. The Capuccini restaurant was very good.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The location, service, attention to detail, food and views were unbelievable. Best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. The real life experience is much more than the pictures show.
One of, if not the best, hotel in the area. This is a luxury refuge with a view. The restaurants and bar are first rate with the standout being the Restaurant Dei Cappuccini. The chef has made it a world class experience.
Beautiful setting, with fantastic views
A steep climb, although there was a shuttle service available
