It was cute and cozy.
If I had to say anything at all I would have liked tea options since I don’t drink coffee.
Turtle Beach Resort is a true rare find in vacation accommodations. This place is different… My wife and I have traveled extensively and experienced many different types of lodging. THIS is the place I’ve been looking for. Comfortable, tropical, cozy and relaxing(quiet). I am somewhat reluctant to reveal our find, but this place deserves the accolades.
TBR is a family-owned business and it shows in the attention to detail. From our first interaction on the phone with Alana, the property owner and manager, I knew we had found our spot. Alana is the perfect host, always smiling and happy to help in any way she can. She makes an effort to know each one of her guests personally and gives them a personal tour of their unit before the check-in is complete.
This is a small waterfront property consisting of 10 individuals cottages, all closely situated around a pool and small marina overlooking Little Sarasota Bay. Each is private with its own hammock, patio and deck. The interior of the units are modern, clean and very well appointed, but the courtyard is what does it for me. I would think I was in Costa Rica, if I didn’t know better. The hibiscus and mandevilla’s are everywhere with palms and mature shade trees making the patios comfortable, even in warm weather. All units are arranged take advantage of the morning sun over the bay. The scenery and photo opportunities are endless. Besides the pool, the common area has a gas grill, rods and reels with tackle, bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, a free laundry and ice. With all the attractions around us, we rarely feel the need or desire to leave. Turtle Beach park is a few hundred yards up the street, so access to the beach is only minutes away.
I took advantage of one of the complimentary kayaks to paddle the short distance through the mangroves to Midnight pass and the hidden beach that only a few informed visitors and locals know about. That too is beautiful. Did some fishing off the pier and grilled our steaks for dinner one night. Also took the sort car ride to Turtle Beach and witnessed an amazing sunset. . Such an amazing get-away!
Some vacations leave you feeling like you didn’t find what you were looking for. For me, I’ll reluctantly leave here tomorrow knowing that I couldn’t have spent my time any better.
We are currently planning our return visit with our family, so they can share in this paradise.
Loved our stay at Turtle beach resort! The staff were helpful and very friendly. Room was clean, relaxing and quiet. Beautiful view of the water. Short walk to beach, Turtles on the Bay to eat, and the trolley made shopping and exploring convenient. We would definitely stay again in the future!
The Turtle Beach Resort is a great place to stay. The cottages are roomy, comfortable, and quiet. The views of the Bay are gorgeous, and there’s plenty of shaded spots and sunny as well. Siesta Key Beach is beautiful and a short walk from the resort. The resort also offers kayaks and fishing gear. The overall vibe is very chill and everyone is helpful and pleasant.
It was extremely clean
Great location and views

Absolutely loved our experience . It was beautiful staff was very helpful and kind , would definitely stay again.
This resort was everything we hoped it would be! It is quaint, private, clean with easy access to restaurants and shopping. They have several very cute cottages and 2 townhomes. We stayed in one of the townhomes which was newly remodeled with a hot tub and water view. They provide free kayaks, fishing poles, and bicycles along with a heated pool. Very walkable location with access to 3 beaches…Trolley provides free transportation up and down the Key. Outstanding customer service by the owners and property management staff! We booked our stay for next year in one of the cottages before we left! Highly recommend!!
Great location in a quiet area
No negatives
We loved our stay at Turtle Beach Resort in Siesta Key. Our cottage was clean and lovely. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was very functional. We even had a private patio overlooking the water and a family of dolphins swam by. Free bicycles and kayaks are available on the property. Walking distance is a free trolley that takes you to the village and downtown Sarasota. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. We will stay again!
Lovely small resort right on the bay. Great place to relax and chill out! You can walk to a couple of different restaurants and to the beach. Very pleasant and attentive staff. They are in the process of updating some of the units. The bathroom in our unit could be updated, quite small and dated. Otherwise no complaints. Very reasonably priced
Very scenic location. Staff very friendly and helpful. We appreciated having bikes and kayaks available and enjoyed using them. Walkable to some restaurants. Lots to do within a a short drive. Dog friendly!
We loved this resort. It is family owned by some of the nicest people ever. This was our first trip to the area and the resort made it one to remember. I would highly recommend staying there. We spent hours sitting out by the water. It was the first time in years that we were given an actual door key for entry which was nice. We would definitely stay there again!
Staff was exceptional!
Parking was tight.
On the bay, having kayaks, bikes available. Trolley available.
Upon check-in, my husband notified front desk we were unable to control heat/air. We were told maintenance man would check it, that it was connected to the Hibiscus suite. Nothing happened. Noone came. Cold front came through, no heat, no extra blankets, so very cold in room, unable to take showers. Contacted a different man in office, who got maintenance out, then we had heat. We were then contacted by upper management who said we'd receive ONE NIGHT CREDIT for our unpleasant conditions. Please issue to us this credit.9

Perfect spot for a relaxing long weekend. Quiet and tranquil. Cozy accommodations with a sunrise view from our bed. Situated waterfront on the bay and just a super short walk to Turtle beach made it a very convenient location. Additionally there was a free trolley stop just outside the resort that takes you into Siesta Key Village and deposits you right in the middle of multiple bars and restaurants.
I had multiple helpful emails from the owners prior to our arrival chock full of info and helpful tips to make the most of our stay !
