Mix of pleasant and unpleasant

All was well during my stay; however, I would like to provide feedback regarding an incident that occurred during check-out.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to obtain the name of the staff member who attended to me at the counter. I believe she would benefit from further training on how to communicate with guests professionally and respectfully.

While I was checking out, a male friend arrived to pick me up. We were asked to sit while the account was being finalized. The staff member then approached us and asked whether he had stayed together with me in the room. I found this question highly inappropriate and offensive.

If clarification was required, the question could have been phrased professionally, for example: “May I confirm whether you stayed alone throughout your stay?” Instead, the manner in which the question was asked felt accusatory and made assumptions about my personal situation, which affected my dignity as a guest.

According to the booking records, the reservation was clearly made for one person. You may verify this from your system. At check-in, I provided only my passport, and as per Indian regulations, identification would have been required for any additional guest. Therefore, it is unclear why such a question was directed at me.

This situation arose after an error was made on your side regarding additional charges, for which I was informed a refund would be processed. Being asked personal and presumptive questions in relation to this matter was unacceptable and unnecessary.

This incident unfortunately overshadowed what was otherwise a pleasant stay. I hope the management will address this matter seriously and provide appropriate staff training to ensure future guests are treated with professionalism, respect, and sensitivity.

Pros:

The location is great, less than half an hour from the airport by car. The hotel is very luxurious and clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly too. The bathroom is great, with shampoo, body wash and conditioner available, as well as a Japanese style toilet.

Excellent stay for work with scope for better in room dining options or TV channel options.
Pros:

Breakfast spread was very good. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful.

Cons:

In room dining menu not so great. Options limited for evening snacks availability as limited time availability till 6pm and not time for dinner too. So this is a minus for options for snacking at reasonable cost and options for same either north or south india food. TV channel options limited and mostly South Indian channels, not suited for a traveller with all india options.
