Clean and close to the airport
The food could use some improvement
We had a lovely stay at the Protea Hotel! The room was comfortable, the service was great, and it was a fantastic option for an airport hotel. The breakfast buffet was absolutely beautiful with a great selection, and very reasonably priced. A really convenient and enjoyable stay — we would happily stay here again!

Close to the airport, staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and bed comfortable. Convenient shuttle
I didn't like the two single beds
The reception staffs were really helpful. Katlego gave us a warm welcome and helped in exchanging currency. The absolute bonus is their shuttle service to and from airport at every half n hour and can be used by the guests as and when required. The theme of the restaurant and the room are very interesting, everything has a touch of aviation theme. The restaurant is also very modern with good food options on the menu. I personally liked the Oxtail from the menu. Portion size is good. Rooms are decent side with work table alongside and electricity plug points. The bed was good for a comfortable sleep. The gym at the property is also well maintained and good for 1-2 days workout for proper cardio and resistance training. They have a good pool too, but we didn't use it.
Constant humming sound from the airport, though you will get used to it. The dinner buffet might seem value for money, but the food on offer was not that great. I would suggest going for their a la carte options. No temperature control in the swimming pool.
Perfekt als Zwischenübernachtung, da nah am Terminal und zuverlässiger kostenfreier Shuttle alle 30 Minuten. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und ein sehr gutes Frühstück mit allem, was man sich wünscht. Ein Late Check Out ist gegen eine Gebühr bis 18 Ihr von ca. 30€ möglich und damit sehr fair bepreist (unser Flieger ging erst am Abend). Auch die Lobby und die Bar ist für so ein großes Hotel sehr ansprechend designt und man kann sich wirklich wohlfühlen. Klare Empfehlung!
The worst hotel we have ever experienced. Reservations totally uncommunicative when corespondents with flight delay
Reception when checking in at 2am after sending an email to advise our flight from Nairobi had been delayed by over 1 hour. Asked for a latter check out because our flight back to Australia was in the afternoon.
Advised 11am was the best they could do we an extra cost of 600 rand.
Reception staff the most rude and disrespectful ever experienced no empathy with our situation. Went to the Intercontinental which meet all our needs and expectations.

La posizione vicino all'aeroporto, quindi comoda per il viaggio e comoda perché i tour safari facevano il pickup dei clienti oltre che in aeroporto anche negli alberghi vicini ad esso.
La possibilità di fare pranzo e cena a buffet (e la sera anche á la carte).

A me non piace non avere la doccia in un ambiente separato dallo spazio in cui si dorme: si appannano i vetri e gli specchi in camera e lenzuola possono inumidirsi.
Sarebbe bene che in una stanza doppia ci fossero due mobili per le valigie (ma questo, purtroppo, è un problema in moltissimi albergh).

I was very stressed driving here at 11 at night it said 400 m from airport but it was 12-15 minutes drive and it stressed me out
I wanted to order food and something to drink but the staff was ONE , and the food I wanted to order was not there ? took me over an hour to get 2 drinks
The art works and design of the hotel . Very detailed
The staff is very friendly and very professional. Room service has a great selection of food. The bed was extremely comfortable and was able to rest.
The shuttle driver did not seem interested in helping when I needed a lift from the airport to the hotel. He was friendly afterwards when he dropped me off at the hotel.
