From check-in to check-out, our experience at Novotel Phuket Kata was excellent. The facilities were clean, the breakfast had plenty of options, and the hotel had a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Bam deserves special recognition for providing outstanding service.
Our stay at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa was truly enjoyable and relaxing. It was the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and feel like you are really on holiday.
The resort itself is very nice, with a calm and comfortable environment. The room was clean, spacious, and well prepared for us. We really appreciated the little details that made the stay feel easy and pleasant. The pool area was also a great place to relax, and the overall facilities were well maintained.
What stood out the most during our stay was the service. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful, but I would especially like to mention Bam. Bam was amazing — very kind, professional, and always greeted us with a genuine smile.

My stay at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa was absolutely wonderful, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Tina at the front desk! She greeted us with such a warm and friendly smile the moment we arrived. She was incredibly patient when we asked about the resort facilities and local attractions, and gave us so many great, practical tips. Tina took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we had all the information we needed to feel comfortable. A huge thank you to Tina for being such an amazing member of the team!
the driveway up is no joke lol but just wait for the hotel shuttle to take u up once you’re there it’s like a total jungle paradise shoutout to bam for the warm welcome and the great service
the breakfast spread is massive, so many options. the beach shuttle is super handy too. bed was really comfy and the room was quiet. thanks to bam for the good service and the warm welcome!
The resort grounds are nice, but the rooms tell a very different story. The furniture is old, worn, and poorly maintained. The mirror, desk, walls, and other room fixtures showed visible signs of age and lack of upkeep. Cleanliness was also disappointing, with dust, stains, marks on surfaces, and overall poor attention to detail.
The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The gym was another letdown—small, outdated, and not what you would expect from a property marketed as a 5-star resort.
What disappointed me most is that the photos on the website do not accurately reflect the current condition of the rooms and facilities. The online images make the property look much newer and better maintained than it actually is.
Overall, this resort does not meet 5-star standards, and the reality falls well short of the marketing.
We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort & Spa during our family vacation. The resort offers beautiful views, excellent facilities, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. The location is convenient, with easy access to Kata Beach and nearby attractions.
What truly made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. A special thanks to Maya and Yok for their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care throughout our stay. They were always warm, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our family had a comfortable and memorable experience.
Their friendly smiles and prompt assistance made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Staff members like Maya and Yok are a true credit to the hotel and reflect the high standards of service at Novotel.

Don't fall for the stars
Everything was extremely average
I would rate it 3 stars but gave 2 star because it felt a little like it was falsely advertised.
The rooms ( we had 3 rooms) where wet, the floor, the walls, everything. Very moist. The beds felt wet and disgusting. Our clothes all moist. Dangerous moist floor because very slippery.
the hotel located very near kata beach we can walk there, and they also provide shuttle to go, i really like it and thanks Bam for your help and good service!
