That I had to leave
Ohh we were so tired afyer travelling but they welcome us with a nice welcome drink, checkin was smooth n fast all the staff members are so friendly...VEE was sweet n jolly and MAY and BAM They all gave us such a warm welcome ...happy to be here😀
Great family hotel, great location. Value for your money. Big family room, lots of kids activities. Kids enjoyed kids club, Tae who works there is very attentive and take great care of the kids. They loved it. Thank you so much
The staff we're extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was very central. Food was fresh and delicious.
An excellent stay overall! The staff were incredibly accommodating and professional throughout. The reception team went above and beyond by upgrading both of our rooms to family rooms to comfortably fit our four children, which we truly appreciated.
A special mention to the housekeeping team who beautifully decorated our room and surprised us with a complimentary cake to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary ,A truly thoughtful and memorable touch.
The only minor drawback was a slight musty smell in the rooms, which is understandable given Thailand's high humidity this time of year, and not something the hotel can easily control.
Would highly recommend and hope to return!
It was not what we expected. I am glad we stayed only 1 night here. The room was big and welcoming and the view was great. We were upgraded by the lovely lady at the reception and we want to thank her.
It was like a maze going to the room, ch again lifts and changing buildings. The place was not great. The room was beautiful but the Aircon was hard to understand how it worked so we turned it off and on as it was very cold in the room...
We booked the half board option and was disappointed not to have much choice but a starter and a main course. We were expecting a buffet kind of thing..
Lucky we had our own car as the hotel is high up so to get to the beach you need to get the free shuttle...
We didn't like it so I wouldn't recommend it.
We have just returned from our lovely holiday in Thailand. We stayed at the Novatel kata beach for 6 nights.
The staff is so friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay more comfortable. Breakfast had a large variety to choose from.
However I would not say it’s a 5* hotel, even though the rooms were clean the furniture looks tired. I felt some kind of evening entertainment would have been nice. Be warned about the steep hill.!!
Overall we did have a lovely holiday :)
친절하고 깔끔해요
시설도 괜찮았습니다.
오르막길이 너무 힘들어요
걸어서 카티비치가 가깝지만 오르막길 생각하면 그닥
Staff kindness
Room. Paviment completely wet due to humidity.
Any plugs did work
Apart from staff being friendly with our kids, not much. I have to give credit to them though for giving us another room when we requested one.
There are many things I can mention:
1) The photos of the resort, especially the rooms, are fake, plain and simple (enhanced by AI I presume). The entirety of the resort is run down and needs A LOT of renovation.
2) The first room we were given was like a freezer, it was approx. 14 degrees Celsius even when the AC was off.
3) The internet is very slow and unstable.
4) The kids club is only free for 1 hour a day and paid thereafter - this is the first time we've come across such a thing.
5) You have to use TWO separate lifts to get to your room - another first for us.
6) Location: the hotel is on a very steep hill and the neighbourhood has 5-6 weed shops.
7) The restaurant is literally an open space with no air conditioning.
8) Coupon system for half board, drinks NOT included and quite expensive, too.
9) One of the receptionists came to our room at 8:20pm to say that the guests below our room have complained that our kids were running around in our room; they interestingly had no problems with Indians eating with their hands at the restaurant (curry, eggs, everything).
10) Laundry is cheap, however be warned, they DON'T have a tumble drier, they literally hang the clothes out for the sun to dry them (not our words, the receptionist's!).
11) Plumbing problems - the toilet was CONSTANTLY reeking.
12) It happened at least three times that our room had not been cleaned by 4:30pm, upon complaint the reception told us that it's because "there's high occupancy".
13) ATM in the hotel not working with UK cards (tried both credit and debit).
14) No body lotion in an - allegedly - 5-star hotel.
15) People smoked weed in the hotel, we could smell it almost every day.
16) Excursions outrageously expensive - when we asked how much a private boat tour to Phi Phi would be, the guy at the hotel simply wrote 44.167 on a piece of paper and only said "thai baht".
The location was pretty good and there were shuttles you could take to nearby beaches and lots of shops nearby. It was very cool and family friendly and lots of things to do. The rooms were good too. The halls did have a bit of a musty smell though and easy to get lost. Food was good, recommend masaman curry or margerita pizza for kids. Bit sad that there was no thai food though and at the breakfast buffet the food was just sitting in the heat. There was a kids and adults pool but the kid pool was empty and the adult pool was swarmed with people. Quite noisy near the pools but nice and quiet in rooms. It was very cheap so good value and the staff and service was very good. Wouldn't recommend if you are going without kids though because it is very based on the enjoyment of kids.
Staff were very good, food in restaurant excellent too.
Nothing seemed like too much trouble.
There was work going on in the hotel - but this can't be helped.
The hill to the hotel is very very steep.
Free fruit in our room was a nice surprise!
