A bit disappointed
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with easy access to Nelson Mandela square and Sandton City mall. The toom was spacious.

Cons:

My room 622 had a smell and the TV was malfunctioning. This should have been checked by housekeeping. They did move me to another room, that was better. I found the furniture outdated, the curtains look like they are out of a Bollywood movie and my two point plug in room 732 did not charge my phone through the night. It is an inconvenience not to have plug points next to the beds for devices. This hotel looks like it is in need of an urgent upgrade. It might have been a five star quality 30 years back, but currently it just looks tired.

After 7 years of booking and staying at this hotel, this incident soured everything for us!!
Cons:

We usually stay at this establishment, went out for the day and came back to our Gautrain cards having been taken. Upon contacting reception we were told the lady who cleaned our room was off duty and conveniently, her phone wasn’t going through. We had to buy new train cards back to the airport. Oh, the promise to contact us about the cards was nothing but a lie. If they can take a Gautrain card, what more if you forget something more valuable in the room??

Always love the food & staff. Very peaceful

Cons:

Someone left a mess in the toilet pot with the brush in it(actually shit). The room was just not cleaned properly. Food lid with food on it was left from a previous guest which shows the room wasn't clean

Schönes Hotel mit schlechtem Service
Pros:

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung und von der Lage perfekt gelegen.

Cons:

Personal absolut desinteressiert und wenig hilfreich. Beim Frühstück stehen die meisten Mitarbeiter nur rum und unterhalten sich, Service nur wenn man Glück hat. Bis heute keine Rechnung erhalten, obwohl mehrfach nachgefragt.
