Breakfast was lovely, bed very comfy too and room spacious, staff very friendly
No air conditioning in the room. Just a fan...very disappointing for the amount of money we paid...and for a hotel with a good reputation. We were disappointed, however, the lady at reception offered us drinks vouchers to compensate.
Lastly, no handwash in the room, we had to use the ahower gel and it was a very very tiny bottle meant to be shared by two adults, l think they need to have a handwash and atleast give guests, two bottles of shower gel. Some of us have to shower twice a day esp with the heat that was on on that weekend.
We cld not use our sockets because they had tripped. So no charging phones etc

We were called earlier in the week to see if we wanted dinner
Breakfast service on the first morning was poor - surly staff, and many things - yoghurt, fruit was gone. Difficulty to get a table.
The second morning was fine
Clean rooms and very comfy
Wasn’t to keen on being worked up at 8.15 with the lawnmower outside probably would have been ok but was so hot the windows were open.
Golf courses both the pitch and putt and the 9 hole course were in excellent condition..golf staff excellent, especially Darren. Great little courses.
Spa changed our treatment times so we couldn't fit lunch in, then sent be backwards and forwards from spa to reception not taking ownership to sort the problem or do the refund.

initial check-in experience with a receptionist which was quickly corrected by the senior without much hassle.
A lovely country venue very easy to travel to as close to motorway net work and with great free and plentiful parking. A nice swimming pool fitness area and open bar lounge to dit in and socialise. I was attending a workshop which was running during the really hot weather and the downstairs conference, bar and dining areas were cool and air conditioned.
The staff individually were generally helpful and friendly but lacked a common professional manner and many seemed tired and not so smartly dressed. However individuals were extra helpful I just think some common training would be good. Maybe it was the heat which was excessive. I made 4 phone calls and sent emails to the property prior to staying none were answered. The hotel was clean but not sparkling and the bedrooms didn’t smell fresh or aired. I was offered an extra fan as my room wasn’t air conditioned and it was filthy with dust.

The staff were excellent and couldn't of been more helpful. The breakfast was good and the spa had a working sauna, steam room and well equipped gym.

Staff were rude, un attentive, unprofessional and ignorant unfortunately. Felt very uncomfortable at times due to this. Nearly given someone elses room, my 8 year old was given a key card at reception without my knowing or authorisation. When in the resteraunt, wasnt told we had to order by 9 or would be a limited menu. Whilst eating, asked if we would be having desert so the chefs know weather to hang around or not. Then watched as if we had overstayed. Baring mind only availability for resteraunt was 8:30. Dead flies along my windowsill and rooms unbearably hot!.Breakfast buffet; Dishes took far too long to be replaced once finished. Coffee machine was unbearably slow.
Food and drinks massively over priced. And tables are left near enough all day with glasses from previous customers. The service was a let down considering rated a 4*. I expected better.

The spa really needs an upgrade, very tired and not clean. Also closed earlier than we were told it would.
Comfortable bed
Needs a good clean up on the outside and spa. Food was sub standard. Pizza not cooked properly and salad swimming in oil. There was a wedding so a lot of people lurking in the carpark
The staff were great. Really lovely team working in the hotel. Reception, catering, bar staff, spa and even the cleaners were really kind and genuinely great people.
I would have liked 2 packets of biscuits in the room instead of one. Everything else felt like a really high level of service and on pack of biscuits between 2 people felt odd in comparison. Vents could also do with a deep clean. Really great hotel, so comfortable.
