Great pre-cruise stay

Pros:

Staff are all so bad - not accommodating & not even helpful esp the Indonesian at the counter
I will never ever return nor refer this hotel .
Bed it seems that they didn’t change the beddings still with some dirt in the linen , over all not going to going back to this place .

Nice place, rude staff, short staffed

One staff member in particular was not friendly, he seemed bothered when asked by his supervisor to take my order at the food bar and barley engaged with me. Then when he delivered the food again there was no interaction . When I opened the box to check my order he said in a bothered voice, is everything ok. In actuality it was not, the half chicken breast and bacon on the sandwich were cold. Not like it had been sitting out and got cool, like it had come out of the refrigerator and they forgot to heat it up before putting it on the warm toast toasted bread. At that point, the manager apologized and offered to make me a new one, but I didn’t want wait another 15-20 minutes for a new sandwich so I just took it to my room and he heated it up in the microwave. Additionally, the french fries were undercooked. Later on, I could not get my remote to work. So I took it back downstairs and that same man who was bothered by me earlier, when I gave him the remote and said it didn’t work, didn’t say a word, instead he tried to use it on one of the TVs in the lobby and it worked. He just looked at me like I was an idiot. I said well I couldn’t get it to work in my room. I told him I would show him so he followed me up, again zero conversation or interaction. As soon as he opened my door before he was even over the threshold he starts pointing the remote at the TV. It did work and I tried to engage him and say I don’t know why I couldn’t get it to work before, and he just looked at me, turned around and walked away. The next morning I went for breakfast around 9 AM and all of the coffee was gone from both coffee stations and there was a line wrapped around the front desk to get to the food. The building, facilities and room were nice. The manager who checked me in, she was nice and accommodating. It seems as though that one male staff member is just rude and bothered by customers.

OK Hotel Stay

OKAY STAY

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Place located in Dania Beach Florida. The hotel is next to Dania Pointe, a modern outdoor shopping area with shops, a movie theatre, hotels and restaurants.

The suite was well maintained and clean but the décor was dated. With a low ceiling, dark décor, bulky room divider and a single small window in the living room area, the suite felt uncomfortably cramped and closed in. Poor sound insulation - we could hear our neighbors, hall noise and slamming doors.

The suite was divided by an open shelf unit that held a swiveling TV. There was a full kitchen (one burner glass top, small dishwasher, full size fridge, full size microwave, small counter and stool), a King size bed with side tables and lamps, large sectional sofa, desk and chair and foot rests. The large bathroom had a walk-in shower. Lots of outlets. Plenty of storage (large closet and drawers in room divider and side tables). Brighter lighting needed. No safe in the room.

Free morning breakfast was meh - scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, bananas and oranges, cold cereal, yogurt, bread and donut holes, instant oatmeal cups and make-your-own waffles. Seeing hotel guests in their sloppy PJs added a yuck factor to breakfast.

A perfect pre-cruise stay
Pros:

Our room was really big and it was nice to be able to get takeout from a restaurant nearby and have a dining table and actual plates.
