A bit of a disaster

The night manager was very helpful and apologetic.

Cons:

A bit of a disaster really. We arrived after midnight on a late flight into Liverpool. We were put in room 406 which had a very strong damp and dusky smell which set off my asthma. It also had a non-functional television. Initially, we were told that we could not be moved to another room as the Hotel was fully booked (in fact overbooked and they had already placed two people in a different hotel). After a while, the night manager found a solution and moved us to room 516 which had been put "out of service" as it didn't have a working TV. The night manager was very helpful and apologetic. As room 516 was 'out of service" the system could not give us door cards and we had to ask the staff to let us in and out each time ! Another issue was insufficient staff at breakfast with customers clear tables for themselves. For a "Hilton" I was surprised there was no coffee machine at breakfast but the instant coffee wasn't too bad.

Great hotel for access to the airport. Poor choice for someone with dietary requirements

The rooms were clean and the location perfect for the airport

Cons:

The breakfast was poor. Extremely limited gluten free options, no bread option. when asked what was GF staff appeared unsure, I am surprised given it is a large chain hotel.

Ok, very basic and a much lower standard than the Gatwick version

The breakfast was terrible, very limited, no pastries so I went to have cereal but there was no milk, I was just directed to the tiny coffee milks?! Then there was no coffee machine so you had to fill a small hotel room style kettle and wait for it to boil…needless to say I went without breakfast. On arrival the kids bed wasn’t made up either…

Asked for 2 single beds got a double bed for me and my friend which we both were not happy about .The cups in kitchen were rotten inside all stained and felt gritty inside. Discusting. The breakfast was stone cold. I did mention this to one off the staff who said the lights are broken above the food that's why it is cold
We are waiting for someone to replace the bulbs . The reception staff were lovely location is great if you are catching a flight .Dont book on booking I com as you will not get 2 twin beds it will be a double bed .why they give false information is beyond me .
