Hotel scenografico in una posizione strategica sul lungomare di Sestri Levante, a un passo dal centro storico e dalla penisola. Dovevamo partecipare a un evento nelle vicinanze e la struttura è risultata l'unica candidata perché ci ha consentito di muoverci a piedi. .
La stanza era in ordine e ben arredata. Il bagno invece ha mostrato qualche pecca. Niente di grave ma, viste le tariffe, si poteva fare meglio. Insomma non siamo rimasti delusi ma neppure pienamente soddisfatti. Giudizio comunque positivo.
L’emplacement proche de la mer et dans le centre est parfait. Piscine super et terrasse très agréable. Ma chambre était très confortable. Le petit déjeuner buffet propose un large choix de bonnes choses.
L’hôtel dispose d’une plage privée mais il faut payer 50 €/jour pour bénéficier d’une place parasol/transat. Un peu cher.

The poor equipment in the bathroom, the music starting at 7:30 in the breakfast and the fact that my 4 year old grand son paid the entire rate!
The location of this hotel is fantastic: on one side the wonderfully bustling Italian boulevard along the beach, and on the other a delightfully quiet and lush garden with a lovely swimming pool. The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay, but what makes it truly special is the incredibly kind and helpful staff. I had such a pleasant stay thanks to their excellent care.

Villa Balbi is one of those beautiful hotels with real character. Set in a beautiful historic building, with authentic rooms, peaceful gardens and a wonderful atmosphere, it feels like stepping back in time.
Despite being in the heart of Sestri Levante, it is incredibly peaceful. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the garden, relax by the beautiful new swimming pool, or have a drink from the elegant bar. Within just a few minutes' walk you can reach the Bay of Silence, the beaches, the historic centre and its many excellent restaurants.
The hotel is also very easy to reach, whether you arrive by train (about a 10-minute walk from the station) or by car, with convenient parking on site.
If you appreciate history, beautiful surroundings and timeless Italian charm, I couldn't recommend Villa Balbi more highly.

Beautiful building and grounds. Lovely to have breakfast outside, very spacious. Rooms a bit cramped and could do with a refresh but the public areas made up for it. Fantastic barman and charming bar. Location is great, easy walk to everything, 10 mins to station.

Bedroom was a bit cramped and could do with a refresh. Didn't like having to leave car keys at reception so they can shuffle cars (top tip, park in a corner then it won't need to be moved).
Wir waren von unserem Aufenthalt begeistert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem wunderschönen alten Gebäude, das viel Charme ausstrahlt. Alles war sehr sauber und angenehm ruhig.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das äußerst freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Die Rezeption ist rund um die Uhr besetzt, was uns bei unserer späten Anreise sehr entgegenkam. Nach einer Autofahrt von über 10 Stunden kamen wir erst gegen 20:30 Uhr an. Leider stellte sich heraus, dass die Tür unseres gebuchten Zimmers defekt war und nicht kurzfristig repariert werden konnte. Das Personal reagierte jedoch sofort und fand eine schnelle, unkomplizierte Lösung: Wir erhielten ein Upgrade auf ein anderes Zimmer. Dafür nochmals vielen Dank!
Das Frühstück war gut und bot eine solide Auswahl. Lediglich mehr frisches Gemüse sowie eine pflanzliche Milchalternative hätten wir uns gewünscht.
Auch der schöne Pool und der botanische Garten haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Lage ist hervorragend – sehr zentral und direkt am Meer.
Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.
