Lovely stay.
Pros:

The king comfy room was really spacious. Nice bathroom and big deep bath. Nice fan in the room and tea/coffee making facilities, they had a nespresso machine. The rooms had everything you need. It was nice and quiet too.

What I needed for one night in Berkhamsted, could do with some upgrades.
Pros:

Good location, staff very helpful, served its purpose, parking was a bonus.

Cons:

Not keen main door straight to outside, especially as the new lock system didn’t work, bed wasn’t particularly comfortable, strange selection of pillows, the room looked tired and the bathroom had bad water damage, not really clean in and around appliances.

Pros:

Really clean and tidy rooms. Perfect center location for the town of Berhamsted. On site parking very convenient. Hotel was amazing value and we'd definitely stay at this hotel again... Oh and the recommended Kings Arms for food and drinks was outstanding!

We were considering leaving and driving back to south wales instead of staying.
Pros:

Great location and the staff were helpful.

Cons:

The bed was uncomfortable (we thought it would be king but it was small and it was poor quality), the bathroom was dirty (in particular the shower screen and floor), pillows and duvet were lumpy, we could hear everything going on in other rooms and the corridor, the windows were also dirty. The room didn’t feel clean.

Large comfortable room, friendly staff. Issues with room access code
Pros:

Large comfortable room and bathroom with aircon and fans. Nice view overlooking the courtyard. Very quiet location. Friendly staff

Cons:

Issue with access code for room, see details below
I checked in at the main reception earlier in the day and confirmed the access codes to enter the building and my room. When I returned at 10pm the access code for the building worked ok but not room access. There was a phone number available and a member of staff came straight away, was helpful and managed to get me into the room

Avoid. Not worth £270 we paid for two nights. Very poor
Pros:

The only redeeming feature was that it had a car park

Cons:

Remote reception most of the time. Pedantic about check in. Arrived 10 mins early and code didn’t work. Had to wait in the heat until 1500. Did not get the room I ordered . Booked King size with sofa bed. Got what appeared to a double. Room was tired. The air con blew out minimal tepid air. The u bend in the toilet had lost its enamel and was a horrid brown colour. The dressing room chair had weathered ripped red vinyl on it and looked as if it had come from a car boot sale. The walls were stained where condensation had ran down them. I complained to a receptionist who was there for a minimal time period. She became very nervous when I raised the points and stated she would contact her manager. No response was ever received. She stated that because booking was made through a third party they have no control over description on Booking.Com

Great location and parking, however very costly and it falls short of what’s expected.
Pros:

Location is great, all pubs, shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Cons:

Rooms are very dated, air con was broken, I only had a large fan, shower was very small. Everything is done via email and txt and when you need someone from reception you have to call and wait too long.
