The location was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
The hotel wing where our room was located looked very old and dated and certainly did not meet the standards one would expect from a five-star hotel. The coffee was also very disappointing. Both the cappuccino and espresso came from an automatic machine rather than being freshly prepared by a barista, which felt quite substandard for a five-star hotel. If you are a coffee lover, you will be very disappointed.
Das Hotel bietet Hotellerie auf sehr hohem Niveau, mit vielen engagierten, freundlichen und kompetenten Mitarbeitenden.
Die Ausstattung ist weitestgehend modern und luxuriös. Die Küche ist fantastisch, das Käsebuffet absolut unübertroffen und das Frühstücksbuffet sehr reichhaltig.
- Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war sehr laut und kühlte zu wenig. Bei Abschalten tropfte Kondenswasser aufs Parkett, auch nachdem der Hausdienst eine Reparatur vorgenommen hatte.
- Die Betten waren ziemlich hart
- Die Auswahl an glutenfreien Broten habe ich in weitaus günstigeren Hotels schon reichhaltiger erlebt. Einmal war ein glutenfreies Aufbackbrötchen steinhart. Das dürfte eigentlich nicht passieren.
Aber das sind alles Details und das Personal war immer sehr prompt und hilfsbereit.
The Hotel is very clean and the area is safe and Lenk itself is very pretty and has a lot to offer in both winter and summer sports. We were fairly regularly staying at Lenkerhof for years - starting about 20 years ago, it was always top for gourmet meals, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The spa is not large, but very nice, clean and not "kitschig" like many spas. Staff was always friendly, especially the young man who helped us with our luggage and valet for the car as well as the woman who checked us out, but over all not the same experience we had in the past.
The hotel was very stylish 20 years ago, but has unfortunately not changed at all over the past years. The furnishings are outdated, some of which are showing the signs of time and the uniforms of the employees are as well outdated and looking shabby.......all of this could be over looked if everything else was still on spot, but the service is not at the same level as it was. Although the food in the main restaurant was delicious and prepared beautifully, the waiting time between courses was very long, the service at the end of both evenings just completely disappeared. After waiting over a half hour for someone to bring us a bill we finally stood up and had to ask to sign on our way out. Which is a shame as this is the last impression when leaving for the evening. The holes in the table cloth and napkins, the furniture looking worn and the windows of the dining room in desperate need of a cleaning is just not what is expected of a 5 star hotel.
