Beautiful hotel with great food and spa, but disappointing service and uncomfortable pillows.
Pros:

Outstanding breakfasts, an excellent spa, and a beautiful hotel overall. The steak restaurant was especially impressive and exceeded our expectations.

Cons:

The staff at the parking reception seemed completely uninterested in checking guests in — everything was done reluctantly and only after we asked for assistance. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay, but the hotel completely ignored it and made no gesture whatsoever. We were also told at checkout that a pillow menu was available, yet nobody mentioned it upon arrival. I honestly don’t understand why this information wasn’t provided earlier. The pillows in the room were far too soft, and both of us ended up with neck pain.

Beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast, so much choice, excellent quality. Really loved it here. Big room, excellent quality. Had a great meal in the beautiful Grandrestaurant! Will be coming back. Great price.

A luxury break well worth the money
Pros:

Such a beautiful and welcoming hotel! Gabriela at reception stood out to us, being so friendly and polite.
The spa facilities were fantastic and there was constantly staff buzzing around to keep it tidy.
The breakfast was excellent, with fresh honey dripping from a comb, warm danish and focaccia, and so many hot and cold dishes.

Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt im Grandhotel Pupp war insgesamt gemischt. Das Hotel ist luxuriös, mit schönen Zimmern und einem beeindruckenden historischen Gebäude, auch wenn man merkt, dass es älter ist. Die ruhige Lage am Ende der Stadt ist angenehm.

Das Frühstück entsprach allerdings nicht ganz den Erwartungen an ein Luxushotel – die Auswahl war eher begrenzt, und Speisen wie Omelett oder pochierte Eier mussten extra bestellt werden, oft mit längerer Wartezeit.

Auch die Kommunikation war teilweise schwierig, da einige Mitarbeiter, besonders im Restaurant, kaum Englisch sprechen. An der Rezeption wirkten manche – aber nicht alle – Mitarbeiter etwas unfreundlich, vermutlich aufgrund der Sprachbarriere.
