Pros:

Great swim up pool. Cleaners came every day.

Cons:

A bit dated. The food was pretty bad and the bar prices were ridiculously high for what was served..£30 for a bottle of white wine!
There were also lots of bones around our swim up pool, and they weren’t cleared away the whole six days we were there. Some in the pool too.
Very few bars and restaurants to visit nearby.
Problem is, I think the establishment has economised on its isolated location. There aren’t many places close by to eat or drink, so they can charge too much for the food they serve.

Pros:

Everything was nice, but the staff were absolutely amazing. We stayed for just one night en route to our holiday destination, and they made us feel like their most important guests. We will definitely return.

Schöner, entspannender Urlaub
Pros:

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Afandou Bay Resort Suites auf Rhodos. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit, fast alle sprechen Englisch und teilweise auch Deutsch, was vieles einfacher gemacht hat.

Unser Zimmer (Junior Suite mit Poolblick) war groß, sauber und gepflegt. Der Zimmerservice kam auf Wunsch täglich, brachte frische Handtücher, fegte durch und machte das Bett. Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist großzügig gestaltet, aber durch viele kleine Wege und einzelne Blöcke angenehm aufgeteilt. Es gibt mehrere Pools und insgesamt eine sehr ruhige Atmosphäre. Ab und zu gab es Abendprogramm, allerdings nur bis maximal 22:30 Uhr – perfekt zum Entspannen.

Frühstück und Abendessen waren abwechslungsreich, lecker und vielseitig. Keine gehobene Sterneküche, aber absolut ordentlich und für jeden etwas dabei – auch Vegetarier finden eine kleinere Auswahl.

Die Lage ist ebenfalls top: sehr nah am Meer und ideal als ruhiger Ausgangspunkt. Mit dem Mietwagen erreicht man schnell schöne Ausflugsziele wie Anthony Quinn Bay, Lindos oder Seven Springs.

Cons:

Kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge:
Ein oder zwei Bilder an den Wänden würden das Zimmer noch gemütlicher machen. Außerdem fanden wir es etwas schade, dass der Safe (28 € pro Woche) und Strandtücher (einmalig 5 €) extra kosten. Bei den Zimmerpreisen könnten diese Leistungen ruhig inklusive sein. Auch die Getränke beim Abendessen müssen zusätzlich bezahlt werden – zumindest Wasser könnte kostenlos angeboten werden.

Pros:

Außergewöhnlich schön gestaltetes Resort mit großen Zimmern, wir hatten auch eine große Terrasse. Das Frühstück war qualitativ hochwertig und es gab hervorragenden Kaffee, man hatte auch die Möglichkeit, auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken. Es stehen ausreichend Parkplätze zur Verfügung, einmal über die Strasse ist am Meer. Tipp: Sonnenaufgang! Das Personal war sehr nett.

Cons:

Teilweise ist die Ausstattung schon leicht in die Jahre gekommen, in unserem Zimmer war der Kühlschrank sehr laut, da sich die Schranktür auch nicht mehr richtig schließen liess.

Food was 2 star not 5 star. Frozen veg every day. It was end of season and they were emptying their freezers. Advertised as having 3 pools. My grand children were only allowed in one of them. We were allocated an ‘upgrade’ to a room with a swim up pool. Useless when grand children were banned. This room was always in the shade. Freezing. Hotel was not at all child friendly. Entertainment didnt show up on 2 occasions.

Je n'ai pas d'expérience avec les 5 étoiles mais j'en ai un peu plus avec d'autres types d'hôtel et c'est la première fois que, lorsque je demande du café pour la chambre, on me répond qu'il faut se procurer les sachets soi-même... Le reste était du même acabit : caution pour les serviettes de bain, terrain de tennis payant, spa fermé, pas de bouchon pour la baignoire et impossible de s'en procurer un... Bref, Harpagon comme amphitryon.

Nice Afandou beach
Pros:

Our arrival at the hotel was in the middle of a storm. However, as the rain surprised us on the street and we could not move anywhere with our belongings due to the heavy rain, we were forced to contact the reception. The very kind Mrs Mary arranged for us a driver who came to pick us up and take us to the hotel. Many thanks to her for that! The hotel is right across the street from the huge beach. It is easy and simple to get to the beach. However, the beach is public and you have to pay for the sunbeds. Everything is quite clean and tidy. The staff tries to keep everything at a high level. The food was delicious and varied. They also took care of my gluten-free diet.

Cons:

Our stay 5 days before this hotel was also in a 5-star hotel nearby, and we must say that this hotel is still more at the 4-star level. One rather small detail is not understandable for a 5-star hotel. There is a safe in the room, for which you have to pay 5e per day. During dinner you have to buy a bottle of water at 4e per liter. These are small things, but which little by little spoil the impression that you are in a prestigious hotel where you have already paid a rather high price for your stay.

Velmi příjemné, klidné ubytování, kousek od pláže pro ty, kdo nehledají bohatý noční život.
Pros:

Původní pokoj neodpovídal naší rezervaci, ale hned druhý den nám pokoj vyměnili a vše bylo v pořádku. Pokoj velký, na pláž to bylo pár desítek metrů přes místní silnici. Na pláži spousta volný slunečníků a lehátek (za poplatek). Výborně jídlo (měli jsme polopenzi). Kousek od pláže bar, kde byla možnost jak jídla, tak i zakoupení něčeho k obědu. V areálu minimarket s chlazenými nápoji :-)

Cons:

Okolí hotelu kromě pláže neskýtá nic zajímavého, ale nám to nevadilo.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν απίστευτο!
Το προσωπικό από τις κύριες στη ρεσεψιόν ως τους εργαζόμενους στο εστιατόριο, όλοι ευγενέστατοι και με το χαμόγελο πάντα να μας εξυπηρετήσουν!!
Το φαγητό ήταν πολύ νόστιμο και οι επιλογές πολλές και στον πρωινό και στον βραδινό μπουφέ!
Ήταν όλα εξαιρετικά!
Το ξενοδοχείο κόσμημα! Οι εξωτερικοί χώροι φροντισμένοι και περιποιημένοι! Όλα καθαρά και μέσα και έξω!

È stato un buon soggiorno, ma purtroppo la nostra esperienza, a causa della poca attenzione portata al problema che si è

La struttura ha un verde molto curato e si trova in una posizione strategica, di fronte una delle spiagge meno “affollate” di Rodi, con possibilità di rimanere per l’intera giornata in uno dei lidi presenti ad un costo ormai fuori mercato: 15 euro a coppia (certo nella presentazione era garantita spiaggia privata per gli ospiti del Resort, in realtà si paga 😉)
Il personale è stato cortese ed ha mostrato attenzione e cura, peccato nella gestione delle obiezioni a problemi reali e certificati, né scrivo dopo su cosa non mi è piaciuto, non ci sia stata la giusta attenzione.
In definitiva una buona esperienza, ma avrebbero potuto “coccolarci” e lasciarci davvero felici di queste esperienze con un minimo sforzo.
Bisogna crescere, altrimenti le cinque stelle, che non ci sono, specchietto per le allodole (ovvero per me in questo caso 😌

Cons:

La gestione delle problematiche e la poca cura nel rispondere a richieste legittime nate da un cambio di stanza con un finto upgrade (così ci è stato comunicato, peccato poi scoprire che dopo aver pagato una Suite ci veniva consegnata una Junior Suite), poi giustificato con questa semplice risposta: ma è una camera nuova.
E poi dopo aver richiesto un’auto di classe B, si presentano con auto di classe A, pagata allo stesso prezzo: giustificazione: ma si tratta di un’auto nuova…
Dopo aver pagato quasi 3000 euro per dieci giorni su una struttura che si presenta come un cinque stelle, mi aspettavo di più.
E non basta offrire una bottiglia di vino da dieci euro fatta passare come se fosse una bottiglia di Cristal 😏
Meglio nulla a quel punto, non mi interessa avere sconti o regali, ma non mi piace essere preso in giro.

Nachdem schlechten Start lief alles gut.
Pros:

Das Essen war gut und ausreichend. Die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Der Start war schwierig, weil ich das falsche Zimmer bekam. Ich buchte mit Pool,bekam eines ohne. Die Rezeption und eine Frau am Telefon des Hotels wollten mich abwimmeln. Das war sehr enttäuschend. Erst durch meine Hartnäckigkeit wurde eingelenkt.
