Vriendelijk personeel,goed ontbijt en een sfeervolle entourage.
Er was geen Wifi op de derde verdieping(stond overal wifi op de site).Hygiene was matig en onze kussens waren niet best(allemaal klonten).
Ons verblijf bij Boutique Hotel Hancelot is erg goed bevallen. Wij hadden voorafgaand aan onze boeking van twee nachten nog een nacht geboekt via een tegoedbon, dus 3 nachten in totaal. De tweede en derde nacht zouden we in een andere kleinere kamer zitten volgens de boeking, maar de receptionist heeft ons voor deze nachten kostenloos een upgrade gegeven waardoor we niet van kamer hoefden te wisselen en ons hele verblijf in de grote kamer konden blijven.
De kamer was top, er was genoeg ruimte, een goed bed en een prachtig oud egyptisch bad. Ik las in andere reviews geklaag dat het hotel oud en slecht onderhouden was. Dat valt misschien iets voor te zeggen, maar wat ons betreft gaf dit het hotel juist karakter. Het bevindt zich tenslotte in een oud pand met een rijke historie. Sommige dingen waren inderdaad oud of enigzins versleten, maar het was wat ons betreft allemaal prima op orde.
De locatie beviel ons ook goed, een rustig straatje net buiten het centrum. Lopen naar het centrum was te doen, maar met een tram- en bushalte aan het einde van de straat was het op en neer reizen naar het centrum erg makkelijk en snel.

It wasn’t too far to walk to the city centre and was close to both bus and tram stops. The staff were helpful.
There was no lift and the staircase to the second floor was narrow. The shutter in the main window was broken and would not open. The sink in the bathroom was clean but had a large piece missing and the grouting to it was very poor. Every piece of the wooden flooring creaked. The hotel wasn’t easy to find as there was only a small sign on the second or third floor and nothing on the main door, we actually drove past it twice! I emailed, from the hotel websites contact details, about reserving parking but was told on arrival that the email address was wrong!
The window in our room was broken. We tried to contact reception, but it was closed, so we received no help throughout the night. Because of this, we could not sleep properly.
The next day, our room was not cleaned either. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay. The service we received was not acceptable and was not worth the amount we paid.

Trop ancien surtout la SdB, le défaut le plus rédhibitoire pas de clim + tv non fonctionnelle. Nous n'avons pas eu de facture malgré notre demande.

lawaai: kamerpersoneel werd 's ochtends vroeg opgeleid naast mijn kamerdeur
kamer: vraag voor een minikoelkast werd afgewezen terwijl er in een andere kamer een stond
parking: gereserveerd aan 15€/dag, bij aankomst werd het 20€/dag, garage te klein dus poort kon niet gesloten worden
klantvriendelijkheid: al deze feedback werd gegeven bij uitchecken, als antwoord kreeg ik: we zullen het noteren
Zeer veel sfeer, historisch pand. Je kan lekker in de binnentuin zitten
Veel achterstallig onderhoud, tijdens een bui regent het net zo hard binnen als in de hal/overloop op zolder
