Absolutely nothing!
Absolutely everything! I have never stayed anywhere quite as dirty. I am a woman travelling on my own, and I actually feel quite upset about being here, physically sick in fact. Filthy bathroom with mould & hairs, stained bed cushions, rotten windows and generally grubby & smelly.
I have booked this hotel because I need to fly from Bournemouth Airport tomorrow at 6:15 am and there is no way I will sleep or be able to use the bathroom, apart from having to use the toilet.
The photos and reviews of this hotel were good, and the fact that it was advertised as £165 discounted to £77, I thought I had found a real bargain. Being here, I now understand why! It is utterly disgusting.
The cooked breakfast was great - really hot and fresh, good quality ingredients. If you like a continental buffet breakfast, this isn't the place for you. The room was big and the bed was comfortable.
The bathroom in our room was very small - unnecessarily so - and a little tired in places. There was no fan in the room (although we were subsequently told that there would be. There are also very few staff at Langtry Manor - to talk to reception staff you need to go across the road to the Derby. We didn't see anyone at the Langtry for the whole time. Also be aware that rooms are only serviced every 3 days.
Great place in amazing location
Nothing
Very nice place.
We were there during the heatwave and the window wouldn't open.
The position was quiet
Misleading information about facilities in hotel
Character and decor of the building. Location was locally flat but on top of hill from town centre. Car park always had space available. Anna, the lady who ran the breakfast service, was absolutely superb and a credit to the organisation, a true ambassador. Proving the value of human interaction.
As a mobility challenged person, a room on the lower floor was requested, which was not acknowledged, upon arrival the auto booking in system allocated the highest positioned room 15. This necessitated climbing multiple flights of steep stairs. As the hotel was unmanned it was necessary to seek a human in the sister property 'the Darby. The young gent was helpful, had checked my request and said that they could only offer either a larger room one flight of stairs lower but it would be charged at the higher room rate or stay in the highest room for 1 night then transfer to an alternative room on the lowest floor. After further discussion, and to avoid unpacking/twice, we agreed to take the room 1 flights down without additional cost.
Rooms were looking tired, bathroom in particlar. Sink was cracked. 1 Window and one fan was not operating correctly.
Lack of human contact made it less personable and difficult to seek advice, etc.
Lovely neighbourhood, near the beach. Nice and quiet. Plenty of coffee and tea in the room.
Very small bathroom.
The hotel looks incredible oldy worldy medievil
No staff at hotel, room was incredibly small and dirty, filthy infact. Nothing like images suggested. Had to go to sister hotel to find staff, who could'nt log in to computer system. Needed to phone owner to explain couldnt stay in filthy room. Bonus, quick to organise a refund, and easy to find another hotel so trip not ruined.
Echt Engels
Geen airco. Ramen waren kapot
Very comfortable
Charming hotel with lots of character. Staff was lovely and very helpful even though we had to go to their sister hotel to get a hold off anyone.
We initially had some issues with the room we were given, with the TV not working. It was a lovely room, and if we were just staying for a night we wouldn't have bothered but we were staying for a week so we wanted one that worked. We were able to switch to another room, which was somewhat smaller than the first one.
We did enjoy walking around and see and read about all the history. We had some interesting encounters downstairs with obvious temperature changes, and retreating footsteps..
Bad/no signal on the tv in the top floor rooms. Hopefully that has been sorted now.
The location was ideal.
Room was in the very top of the property with narrow steep stairs; No handle on the inside of the bathroom door; Either the television or the remote were not working. Room exceptionally hot despite small noise fan: front door handle fell off each time it was used.
Had a great night's sleep, the very large bed was very comfortable. Everywhere very clean. Room was very quiet even with the window wide open.
Very small ensuite, but adequate and very
good shower.
