Beautiful hotel and fabulous restaurant

Jamal on reception was so helpful, absolutely enthusiastic about the area, the hotel and our stay - made staying a pleasure.

Beautiful buildings, staff were friendly and polite nothing was too much. Food was lovely. Dog friendly, put a bed and bowls in the room for the dog.

The history of the hotel was very interesting and it was located in a lovely area of Glasgow and the breakfast was lovely. It was clean and bathroom was nice.

It’s kept a lot of its original features and staff are very helpful.

We recently had our wedding at Sherbrooke Castle and couldn't have asked for a better venue.

The castle itself is absolutely stunning and provided the perfect setting for our special day. We stayed the night before the wedding and on the wedding night, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and relaxed.

The staff were exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always had a smile on their face. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they couldn't do enough for us throughout the day.

A special mention must go to Claire and William. They were fantastic during the planning process and on the day itself. No matter how small the question or request, they were always happy to help and quick to respond. Their support made everything feel easy and stress free.

Everything ran incredibly smoothly, allowing us to enjoy every moment with our family and friends. The food was also outstanding. So many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, along with how beautiful the venue looked and how attentive the staff were.

Sherbrooke Castle exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful to everyone involved for helping create such a memorable day and would highly recommend the venue to any couple planning their wedding.

We attended as wedding guests and for the price of our room I expected more. No shampoo, conditioner or shower fell in the cubicle. Instead tiny little bottles on the side of the sink. The rooms are ready to be redocorated and up dated. During our evening meal where there were members of the wedding guests for the next day and a 90th birthday party in, our server, I believe, Gregor was the most miserable person I have ever met. There was very little interaction with people and certainly not a smile on his face. Not good for customer service.

In comparison the next morning of the wedding we had Jamal, absolutely nothing was any trouble for him. He came to the brides room with a smile wished her well, brought some fizz and made us all laugh. You need to have more Jamal’s working there even on the day we were all leaving he remembered our names spoke to us personally and professionally an absolute gem!!

The wedding co-ordinater whose name I have forgotten was on point at all times and made the day run smoothly for all.

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I mean it’s a literal castle, and I happened to get the highest room in the tallest tower (felt like a princess in the best way!). The suite was amazing, bathroom was incredible (had a shower and a tub), the bed was super comfortable, and the views from the windows in the room were superb! The entire hotel was gorgeous, the staff were incredible and very nice and welcoming, the dining area was gorgeous, and the food and drinks menus were perfect. If you want to feel like a royal and be treated like one, come stay at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel.

Whistle stop overnighter en route to the Highlands for a wedding. We stayed in a junior suite, complete with quirky turret and loo with a view, all very clean and comfortable with Scottish toiletries in the spacious bathroom and locally made Tunnocks wafers among the complimentary beverages.
Fab dinner - lamp rump and homemade chicken Kiev with local veg - and full Scottish breakfast with haggis and potato scone and porridge with honey the following morning. All generous portions and service with a smile. Staff are friendly and helpful - when I inquired about the hotel’s past a receptionist kindly printed off a potted history. Parking available on site and nearby rail links to the city centre. Would thoroughly recommend.
