This is a fabulous establishment. Can’t wait to go back

Cons:

Arrived after long journey, was told room be ready by 3 as we requested early arrival. Unfortunately still waited until 3.30 pm even though staff asked several times to maids for our room to be prioritised at 2pm. Staff at reception did try there very best .

Great place to stay close to ferry port.
Pros:

We chose this hotel because it was a short drive to the ferry port. However we were really pleased we did. We had a large, bright, well-ventilated comfortable room. The staff were very obliging and arranged for us to have an early continental breakfast so we could leave early to get the ferry. We shall definitely use this hotel again when we make a return trip to Ireland.

Very enjoyable stay in a comfortable, well equipped hotel.
Pros:

This was our first stopover for a motorcycle tour of southern Ireland, and it proved to be a wonderful place to relax and stay after a long day in the saddle. Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful; the fitness centre was well-equipped and accessible; and the restaurant was excellent, with a very good menu. Our room was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options and of very high quality. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Excellent service, beautifully prepared seafood dishes, and great value for the quality.
Pros:

We had a fantastic meal at Whitford House Restaurant. The service was genuinely excellent — friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
The food was the real highlight. The Forthside chunky seafood chowder was rich, hearty, and full of flavour, easily one of the best we’ve had. The mushrooms were beautifully cooked, and the monkfish and king prawns on a bed of mash was a standout dish — generous portions, perfectly balanced flavours, and cooked with real skill. The baked haddock with a parmesan crust was another winner, crisp on top and tender underneath.
With great service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices for the quality, Whitford House Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.
