Pros:

The decor was fab. Location ideal. Staff were so so lovely, kind and helpful.

Cons:

Walls are thin. Unfortunately we had VERY inconsiderate neighbours who kept us awake all night. I probably should have reported them tbh. I'm sure staff would have help resolve.

Would be great to have complementary bottled water as well.

Sehr schone, renovierte Unterkunft im typischen Guesthouse Stiel
Pros:

Wir haben verschiedene Zimmer gesehen. Manche sind schon komplett renoviert andere nur im Schlafzimmer. Alle waren aber sehr schön manche sogar mit Kaffeemaschine.

Cons:

Es ist schon ein Stückchen außerhalb der Stadt. Von dort braucht man eine Weile aber man sieht es ja auf der Karte.

Stayed the 1 night on way through to Dublin and loved the decor and atmosphere of the place

Pros:

Breakfast was lovely. But a little confusing on how system worked. Like finding bowls and glasses. This was because only one girl working and she was making coffee and serving in the coffee shop that the Breakfast is served in.

Cons:

All the stairs.

Would not stay there during the summer.
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff

Cons:

The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that the rooms do not have an Air Conditioner. The one night that we stayed the temperature rose to 28*C and the room was very hot. Granted I should have checked that before booking.

Kamer niet in verhouding met de rest van het hotel.
Pros:

Grandeur van het hotel. Entree, lobby, gangen en ontbijtzaal zeer mooi.
Ontbijt was goed verzorgd.

Cons:

Kamer zelf was eenvoudig en wat verouderd. Kamer zeer warm, airconditioning slecht.

Pros:

The hotel was nice and room very clean and comfy bed. Very simple breakfast. I didn’t realize it was located so far away from town which made it difficult to come and go as buses or Ubers were involved. Trying to find a parking spot in town was painful so we were using Ubers or walking 30’ if weather permitted. If it would have been 15’ closer to town it would have been a great found. If you have only a few days for sightseeing before you move to the next town as we did, get something closer to town.

It’s not renovated as advertised rooms are old.
Cons:

Beds not comfortable, towels where torn and stained
Hair dryer would not work and the handle was taped up!
Far distance from downtown.

Great value for money at Kilkenny
Pros:

We really loved it here - the room and the bathroom were spacious, the staff super welcoming and nice, and the location - outside of the busy city centre - was actually really relaxing. This is a nice small hotel that nevertheless manages to offer a really good standard. Breakfast was affordable and nice. We also visited the pub which was very cosy.

Cons:

The water in the shower was super hot and we had trouble turning the nod to a colder setting, it was a bit stuck. The shower did not drain well - may be someone could check that.
