the room was very, very expensive for what it was- I was staying for one night for work and I knew not to expect 5 star- the room was very dated, very thin duvet on bed- I was cold, floor was sticky, room was noisy being partially outside, not enough sockets, and looked very very old. I didn't feel 100% safe alone, which I think was just due to the location of my room and the thinness of the walls and how close people appeared to be when they walked past late in the evening. The hairdryer was an old hose from the 80's. I understand the market that is served with this hotel, but the price was extortionate for what was provided.

My family and I lived in Den Helder 30 years ago. We returned for a trip down memory lane. There is not a huge selection
Pros:

The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us.
The food was great. We had an evening meal and breakfast. Great choice and echt lekker!
The dining/bar area was so comfortable and typically Dutch. Quite quirky.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice shower and bed.

Vi droppede bookingen på hotellet da byen Den Helder er meget trist og kedelig.
Vi fortsatte til Assen en dag før, og Wienerhof var villige til at kansle bookingen uden beregning.

Cons:

No ventilation, no air co, just 5 square meter cabina for 180 eur per night. Horrible place! Actually its a roberry
