I chose not only as it looked lovely but also as a family business. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient.
The room was clean and tidy, and we had the balcony, which was great. Having the patio doors open during the evening was perfect in the hot snap we've had. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others. We slept in (comfy beds) and missed the breakfast timeframe, but we did not need to worry they had made us up some breakfast and called us to collect it. Genuinely, this was a lovely place, the decor, atmosphere, and people. Ample car park space to the front and rear.

Malcolm was brilliant as were the waiting staff in the morning.
While the rooms were very modern and finished to a good standard the restaurant could do with a bit of renovation but that is me being over critical as it was probably a little bit tired.
Stayed here when visiting friends. The staff were very friendly. Hotel was in a great location for our visit. Great value for money would definitely recommend and we will stay again

Really friendly and helpful staff. Close to Belmont park and ride so very easy to get into Durham without any hassle. Breakfast in the morning was lovely.
Traffic noise as it is very close to two roads and no airconditioning. On a summers night you would want to open the window to keep the room cool.

dont say there is breakfast to 930 or whatever and say there isnt when guests arrive at 910am

Nice room, had a bar meal one night and ate in the Thai restaurant the other night. Bar meal was good but the Thai meal was exceptional. The biggest asset to the hotel was the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
What a beautiful hotel, managed by wonderful people. I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere so thoughtful, most hotels these days are part of a franchise and have no life….not this one!!! Its interior is beautiful and very well looked after, and the staff were the most friendly, helpful and all round lovely people. I stayed here as I was attending a local event, however I will definitely be returning to this hotel to visit the area again. Thank you for having us.

Nice and quiet, and room was spacious. Location was perfect for us.
Tap in bathroom was spinning round and door plate was loose which wouldn’t let us close the door so we moved it.
