More of a family holiday
Pros:

My honest review of Lopesan Baobab Resort! More of a family based resort!

After spending a week here with my boyfriend, On arrival this hotel is very much aesthetically pleasing most beautiful hotel. The check in staff were very kind and welcoming.

However, I would like to start with breakfast every morning you will have to que to get seated despite there being multiple tables available you also cant sit where you want you get told where you can sit even though plenty of free tables. I definitely wouldn’t return just because the lack food choices and not the best taste. I also asked for a coffee one morning (9:50am) and the waitress had told me the coffee machine had already closed.

We chose the bed and breakfast option thinking that there would be options for lunch everyday but we only had found one pool bar which actually got our order wrong (human error this happens and is completely normal) and the food was a ham and cheese toastie but the cheese hadn’t even been melted for a luxury resort you would think you have better options for guests who pay as you go. We also got the chicken noodles which was literally just like pot noodle.

The pool situation, Unfortunately here you do have a major issue with sunbed wars.. People will wake up early put a down multiple towels and not return till midday. I would also say that the sun loungers are extremely cramped and your sitting ontop of strangers. One morning I found a quiet spot in a corner and came back 20mins later and a family of 6 had moved my two sun loungers into the shade (at 8:30am) which is fair enough but I didn’t want to sit in the shade and not to mention as the sunbeds are so cramped if someone puts an umbrella up next you to you have to sit under it as no room to move. The pool temperature is great.. If your thinking of sitting round the pools where it has the sand like area.. The pool will be filled with rocks at the bottom and they get extremely hot during the day so not great to walk on as they are more like little stones rather than sand.

Luckily I done some research and found a small quiet pool tucked away at the back of the hotel where space and loungers were not an issue.

I would also say this hotel needs an adult only pool as every pool has children jumping in or splashing which I have no issue with but when your trying to relax on a child free holiday reading a nice book in the sun you will not get that here it is very much a family friendly child resort which i cant complain about as this is fully advertised. But as a young couple this is very much needed.

The rooms are lovely and spacious very clean, The cleaners would mop your bedroom everyday. However, we was on the second floor and would get woken up at around 7am of banging and the people above walking around.. No fault of the hotel but this is what we had experienced. Not to mention the constant banging of doors outside.

The area where the hotel is located is great about 20min walk directly to beach and shops and restaurants, But if your looking for somewhere to grab a quick light lunch we found there wasn’t much options so stuck with the local supermarket l.

I have travelled to 13 countries stayed in family friendly and adult only hotels so this is just my personal / honest review as a 26 year old. I wouldnt return just based on the quality of food and ease of ordering food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable stay at Lopesan Baobab Resort!
Pros:

Wow... where do I begin?
Whatever reviews you may have read, our experience at Lopesan Baobab Resort was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning African-inspired architecture, beautiful gardens, and the relaxed atmosphere. Every corner of the resort is breathtaking, especially at night when the lighting transforms it into something truly magical.
The pools are amazing, with plenty of space to relax, and the whole resort is spotlessly clean. The staff were warm, friendly and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
The location is perfect too—just a short walk to the Meloneras promenade, beach, shops, restaurants and the lighthouse.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and immaculately maintained, and we slept so well every night.
For us, this holiday was everything we hoped for and more. It was peaceful, luxurious and the perfect place to unwind and make wonderful memories.
Thank you, Lopesan Baobab Resort, for such a fantastic holiday. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway.
We can't wait to come back! 🌴☀️🌊💙

Excellent, atmospheric hotel
Pros:

Second time here and another fantastic holiday. The hotel itself is immaculate and very atmospheric; a lovely exotic scent greets you in reception! Good, spacious rooms and a well laid out pool area; the lazy river is particularly enjoyable. Food - what can I say? A superb choice of well cooked dishes; buffets can be a bit samey at some hotels but not this one; there is plenty of variety.

I see some negative reviews and these surprise me as they don't match our experience; I guess you can't please everybody!

We've just booked our third visit here so that tells you something.

Una serie de catástrofes.
Pros:

Cons:

Highly recommend beautiful hotel
Pros:

Thank you so much to the entire team at Lopesan Baobab Resort for another fabulous holiday!

This was our second stay at the resort and our third holiday with the Lopesan brand, as we also visited the Dominican Republic at Christmas.

Every member of staff is so lovely, friendly, welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. The reception manager was especially wonderful, and it’s clear their leadership inspires such a positive attitude throughout the team. It was also so nice to see some of the same familiar faces from our visit last year.

We had a small issue during our stay, but the team did everything they could to resolve it and make sure we had a fantastic holiday. They genuinely care about their guests’ experience, and that level of care really stands out. Our children had a fabulous time especially our autistic son.

Thank you once again to everyone at Lopesan Baobab Resort for another unforgettable holiday. We can’t wait to return!

With love,

Mediocre at best
Pros:

3 star max.
It took two days and 6 phone calls to get an iron sent to our room despite being told it was being sent ‘right away’ each time.
The room comes with basically nothing compared to much cheaper hotels I’ve stayed in. No kettle, no tea or coffee, even no soap. Even travelodge comes equipped better than this place.
The pool that looks like a lazy river is surrounded by sand, meaning that the bottom off the floor is bitty and quite sharp in places.
The lift is tiny, always broke, and takes forever to come every single time.
We were asked if we wanted a welcome drink upon arrival, which we obviously said yes to! Then the guy serving us sent us on our way to our room and we never got it.
There was no one to take our luggage which I don’t care too much about but I know it would be a struggle for some people as it is a very big hotel.
They charge €45 per person per meal. There are some amazing restaurants nearby where you will spend half of that amount!
Breakfast was mediocre, fried eggs were sat there for so long that they were crispy on the bottom and overall there’s not much choice. Crepes with Nutella were obviously amazing for breakfast.
I also emailed prior to the holiday to say it was mine and my partners first anniversary together in hopes to do something special for her. They said they would be happy to help and asked for our reservation details. Upon sending these, I never got a response.
Honestly wouldn’t bother spending your money on this place. It was pretty but that’s about it.

Amazing hotel and great holiday
Pros:

We arrived later in the evening and walking into the hotel was amazing, it was all lit up and took your breath away. Check in was very quick, we were offered welcome drinks by the gentleman on reception. He explained how to find our rooms as this hotel is massive!
Our rooms were spacious and clean, included dressing gowns, shower gel and shampoo and a hairdryer. Safe and small fridge are inside a wardrobe - no tea/coffee making facilities though.
The bed was huge, and not 2 singles pushed together.
Balcony was rather small with a table and 2 chairs, we had a view of the back road towards the RIU hotel - quiet at night though, no car noise etc.
You can hear other people unfortunately, and our upstairs neighbour seemed to like rearranging furniture on a daily basis by dragging it around the room. We could also hear babies crying.
The pool areas are spread out across the site- the first day there were no sunbeds available anywhere, apparently the hotel do remove towels if not being used after a certain length of time. 2nd day it was quieter and there were plenty of beds. We especially loved the lazy river, so stayed around that area in the day. The pool toilets were kept immaculate throughout the day.
We stayed B&B and the breakfasts were fantastic - fresh fruit, cheeses, bacon, eggs, different breads etc and a cheeky little glass of Cava/prosecco as well!
We've never stayed in a 5 star hotel, but this was an amazing holiday, even our 19 year old son enjoyed it, we wished we'd booked 2 weeks, will have to go back!

Hotel/ Staff review
Pros:

Amazing holiday - our second visit and it won’t be our last. Everything is immaculate and the staff are wonderful. The entertainment team couldn’t do enough for both adults and children. I’d particularly like to thank Rachel who stayed after her shift had finished to provide me with some information I had asked for. Also a big shout out to the staff in the restaurant at breakfast - again impeccable service, always smiling and a shout out to Patricia MZ for her absolute enthusiasm and happiness day after day. You have wonderful staff - thank you for an absolutely lovely holiday.
