When back in the room afternoon to be obliged to ask to the cleaning staff to tidy the room ...
Or to go to reception desk in the evening to get just some towels because room was not cleaned during the day

Posizione centralissima a Silom, ma in fondo a una via chiusa, quindi silenzioso (la mia camera era al sesto piano). Un vecchio albergo ben tenuto, che certamente risente un poco del tempo, ma che è nato bene, ben progettato e molto confortevole, con dettagli d'altri tempi, come la pulsantiera sul comodino da cui comandare le luci di tutta la camera e l'aria condizionata. Nel bagno, vasca e wc con meccanica insolita. Personale gentile e molto professionale. Colazione varia, dalle 6,30 di mattina (utile quando si parte presto). Ci tornerò e mi sento di raccomandarlo. Letto comodo, lenzuola fresche e piacevoli al tatto.
Gut gelegenes Hotel, aufmerksames Personal. Gute Lage - mitten im Silom, was auch heisst, dass es etwas lauter ist. Aber toller Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder.

I had a wonderful stay at the Tarntawan Hotel and would happily stay here again.
The staff truly made my experience extra special. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to help with a smile. Their hospitality really stood out and made me feel at home throughout my stay.
My Deluxe room was spacious, and the bed was absolutely massive and extremely comfortable. The room was also very quiet at night, which meant I had an excellent night’s sleep every evening. I stayed on the fifth floor and enjoyed a lovely view of the Bangkok skyline.
The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout my stay. The television was huge and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city.
Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty, with enough variety to start the day well.
The hotel’s location is another big advantage, with easy access to Silom, BTS and MRT stations, restaurants, shopping and nightlife.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Tarntawan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with outstanding staff and great value for money.
The only real downside to my stay was that the hotel is beginning to show its age. From what I understand, it was quite a luxurious property in the 1980s, but by 2026 it is definitely due for a refurbishment.
There are signs of wear throughout the building, including mismatched paint and tiles, marks on some of the walls and ceilings, inexpensive vinyl flooring and décor that feels dated. While my room and bathroom were both clean and well maintained, the bathroom in particular would benefit from a complete renovation to bring it up to modern standards.
I had read previous reviews mentioning this before I booked, so it wasn’t a surprise and it certainly didn’t detract from the wonderful service I received. However, I think it’s worth mentioning for future guests. If the owners invest in renovating the rooms and common areas while maintaining the exceptional hospitality of the staff, this hotel has the potential to be truly outstanding once again.
