The hotel has been serving guests since the 19th century. However, the hotel has been updated to meet the needs of 21st-century guests. You’re steps away from the ferry terminal that will take you to the scenic islands and quaint towns along Lake Maggiore. The Hotel Milan Speranza Au Lac is unique because it’s made up of two separate buildings. We stayed three nights in the cream colored one with sweeping views of the lake. You can tell the room originated from another era because ours had a beautiful chandelier. However, the bathroom design is modern with a soothing shower. We appreciated the authentic Italian hospitality and service. We dined one night at the hotel's restaurant, and the cuisine matched the beautiful setting. Each morning, we had breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed the variety and quality of the food. However, the most pleasurable part of your stay had to be our room's terrace with the incredible views of the lake.

Downside pompous head waiter,evening meal cold and uninspiring,had to go across the street to sister hotel for dining room,the problem here you were not as important as the guests of that hotel,food mysteriously not plated in kitchen but brought to table in dining room and dolloped on to plate by waiters.

Off site parking and difficult unloading. Restaurant was average while we expected better. No outside bar area as part of hotel.
Sehr gepflegtes Hotel in toller Lage. Wir hatten in der 5. Etage einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Lago und die Inseln.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und schmackhaft in einem sehr schönen Raum mit Seeblick.
Wir empfehlen es gerne weiter.
La struttura in generale. Pulizia. Cortesia e gentilezza del personale. Colazione ottima e varia, sia salata che dolce. La possibilità di poter utilizzare la bellissima piscina dell'Hotel vicino. Vicinanza al parcheggio (a pagamento) e all'imbarcadero.
Migliorerei il servizio del bar interno alla sera. Era sovraffollato e c'era solo una barista che si faceva in quattro per soddisfare tutti i clienti e non era possibile avere il servizio al tavolo.
Nice hotel near everything. Breakfast was good and had everything one needed. We only staid for one night but it was all good 👍
It was not possible to borrow an iron to iron our clothes for dinner, the iron service was closed and not possible to bring up an iron to the room.
L’hôtel était très bien située, à moins de 10 minutes à pieds de la gare, l’accueil était top, personnel serviable, à l’écoute. Nous avons pu avoir accès à la piscine du palace à côté. Je recommande vivement.
