We were made very welcome in a good size comfortable room. There was always someone at Reception to answer questions. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal and two great breakfasts. Everything was pleasant and hassle free!
We were slightly shocked at the lack of any green vegetables on the evening meal menu!
Beds comfy and cheap
Noise going all night from kitchen below. Struggled to sleep, room 23 not the one if you struggle sleeping
Pleasant staff.
This hotel was recommended to me as a fabulous place to stay. It was very disappointing.
Attic type room- Bathroom in room had very dirty and torn bathmat - not fit for use.
Toilet not cleaned.
Nowhere to hang or place items in bathroom
Mattress dated. Pillow flat, spare in eves-cupboard the same - Very uncomfortable.
Dated furniture.
Arrived extremely late for one night - Informed reception and cleaning staff of issues in the morning and shared photos with them.
ALL GREAT
NOTHING
Our sink had cracks all over it and the floor had previous marks of mold.
The bed was lumpy , the Hotel was just outside town which was good.
As above
It was a lovely old building
It was very dated, the bedrooms needed upgrading. The bath didn’t have any grab rails which made it difficult to get in and out to have a shower.
Staff excellent, the room was comfortable, only had breakfasts which was good, the decor and building could use some tlc in areas
The hotel reception and bar area were nice. The young chap behind the bar Henry, I believe, was very polite, kind, and helpful.
Our room was ok dated. The bathroom had hair in the bath. The mattress was awful. The carpet had burns in it. The kettle was dirty. The curtains were blackout, which was good. I guess that is why the price is as it it.
Very convenient for my partners daughter new house .
The architecture of the building . Comfy bed, good size room, friendly helpful staff.
There wasn’t anything that stood out as being ‘unlikeable’. Maybe needing a coat of paint in places.
The staff were exceptional. The food was superb. The.wedding day.ran brilliantly. My room was fantastic.
Location suited our need
Forgot to ask for a ground floor room. Forgot about the staircase to reach the bedrooms.
Windows opened. Garden view. Nice shower. Clean bedding
Not a 3* Room. A 2* at best. Tiny room. Tiny double bed. The mattress was very thin that was dipped at the head end. No ventilation in the bathroom only a light. Very thin pillows. Dusty head board that came away from the wall. Tiny TV. Nasty carpets up the hall hallway.
