I didn't like that restaurant and bar closed and nothing was mentioned upon arrival only when I was going to use them
Our first room shower flooded the bathroom on the first two mornings of our stay and we were moved to another room. The room was in need of upgrade in a few areas eg cracked sink in bathroom. Bed was comfortable and we didn’t have breakfast.

Staff mixed up several room bookings - resulted in entering pre occupied rooms and hassling guests. The team made no effort for amends. Did not care about the poor service. No air conditioning or fans for hot rooms in heat wave

No air con hot and stuffy one small fan in room no other facilities like a little fridge , we had a broken kettle , very out dated rooms for nearly £100 a night , don’t think you get what you pay for

It was well staffed and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good, well stocked & well organised. The ground floor room was very nice with a little patio outside. Good location & nice to have car parking on site. It felt very secure at night.
The bed mattress was a bit' sunken' in the middle but I did sleep well anyway. The bathroom looked a little dated, but it was functional.

Breakfast was good. Hotel has lovely original Georgian features.
Attic room small and very hot. Found a Twix wrapper behind bedside locker which indicated room not thoroughly cleaned. Overall, not as good as my last stay 10 months ago. Didn't see that we had to hang a card on door if we wanted the room cleaning.
Hotel had gone to extent of providing a fan in room in unprecedented heat for UK weather. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Room was very clean, well provisioned and comfortable.

The wooden blinds on both windows were covered in dust. Window sills were dusty. The outside ledge of each drawer dusty. Phone and TV dusty.
Op loopafstand van het station. 40 minuten wandelen naar Jane Austen huis in Chawton. Koffie bij ontbijt was goed.
Bar: glazen zijn vuil en bier is lauw. Restaurant: na het zien van het smoezelige A4 tje met menu en lege restaurant hebben we daar van af gezien. Bed werd niet opgemaakt na de eerste nacht. Matras hobbelig.
Worn, superior room does not look and feel like one, parking strreet light is directly on the balcony, so heavy light pollution, with blinds shut, no airflow, noisy fan, broken shower head. Mattress is wobbly and soft, when one turns it throws up the 2nd person sleeping on it. Person in next door room had a series of phone calls at 4:30, that felt like someone is talking in your room, so crazy thin walls. Total sleepless night. 0 value for the money.
The welcome I received , the cleanliness of room and location of hotel were good.
The hotel could do with installation of a lift for guests.
The location to the station just around the corner was great when you’ve got luggage. Check-in and staff were friendly. The room was very spacious and even though it was very hot a fan was provided which was quite adequate. Good supply of tea and coffee facilities.
Location and car parking
The room was hot, but it was 30 degrees outside. It was also rather a small room. I have stayed in nicer places for less.
