The room was very clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable, very good value for money overall a fantastic stay.
The room was tiny but that’s ok because it was cheap, the tv (as in most hotels) was very small! On checking out we were told we needed to pay for 2 breakfasts (one on the morning we hadn’t even arrived!) but this was sorted promptly.

Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our stay, we would stay again.
The fact that evening meals were only served in the bar area which was very small. There were no sandwiches or food available on arrival ( Sunday late afternoon) no draw space for clothes in one bedroom just a wardrobe with 2 hangers. Door chain came away from wall.

Hands up - I made a mistake on the booking - I thought I’d made it clear we were bringing our dog but there was a mix up somewhere so when we arrived, unfortunately, we couldn’t stay as the 2 ‘dog friendly’ rooms were already occupied. The receptionists very kindly tried other hotels locally but they were booked up too. Again, very kindly, the room rate was refunded, even though technically they didn’t need to do that. Great shame but these things happen. Staff were great.

The hotel was booked out for a wedding, so we were not able to spend time around the hotel, so we stayed in the room. However, our room didn't have any soundproofing, so we were able to hear the conversations of guests either side of our room all night

Lovely location not far from a family event we were going to
No lifts but we ok with stairs but for those who have difficulty, not would be overcome by the friendly helpful staff
Some of the staff were exceptional, specifically, Ollie, on reception, and the cleaners working on the Friday morning, lovely ladies. Other staff were very unhelpful and rude. The location was perfect for us and the garden lovely to walk in. The room was nice and quiet though the decor, especially in the bathroom, was very tired.
The unhelpful breakfast staff on Friday morning, the same staff were on reception on Saturday morning, very rude and unhelpful.
And when you order poached egg on toast and get told you need to make your own toast when they bring you just the overcooked eggs on a plate.
The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly.
