Staff tried hard to please. Location and setting were great.
Tired facilities and decor. Staff not always readily available in the bar or at the service desk.
Such a beautiful property in idyllic surroundings
Nothing
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Breakfast disappointing, bar overpriced.
Beautiful hotel, good size room, clean, bed very comfortable 😊
The grounds could do with a tidy up.
lovely location, rooms were spacious and clean and staff were polite and helpful
when we arrived there were menus in the room but they don't serve food at the weekend which was disappointing after a long journey
Advertised and booked as dog friendly. On arrival told that should have confirmed I was bringing a dog - despite no prior notice of this requirement.
They did find a room for us elsewhere.
Can’t comment on Farnham House Hotel itself as did not stay :(
We requested early check in and our room was ready when we arrived. Receptionist was very friendly . I am dairy intolerant and it was a nice touch that non dairy milk was provided in the room.
Towels were nice and large.
Whilst the room was clean and vacuumed , the carpet felt grubby and tacky beneath our feet. Breakfast was plentiful but the fresh fruit was very past its best. One of the oranges was actually bruised. I had a kiwi and it was very overripe.
Nice small hotel, quiet and very friendly
TV wouldn’t tune to certain stations like BBC 1,
Some noise. Evening menu was limited.
Very friendly staff especially those that checked us in for breakfast.
Room was very clean on arrival.
Breakfast was really quite Basic.
Cooked selection was good with eggs cooked to order but the cereals were mainly high sugar . Fruit selection was poor. Drinks are hot water in a flask plus a tea bag you have to dip…..really you can do better than that!
Toaster machine needs to be retired! Never got up to temp,Soggy bread for toast!
Food options in the evening is non existent….majority of the menu items in the bar were not available, so we ate out..
I could feel the springs in the mattress …. Not a comfortable nights sleep! I don’t know how old the mattresses are but they need replacing. (Rm 6)
Tea and coffee supplies in the room were not topped up on our second nights stay. Thankfully I had brought my own.
There is no fridge in the room!
Nice facilities
Very poor food
We had to keep asking the guy in reception for stuff ie cutlery, plates coffee. Not sure if he was new but he seemed quite flustered. Tables were not cleared when we arrived .
The breakfast service
Setting / grounds
Rooms are dated (and ours was v small really for a 4 day stay)
This hotel could be amazing - grounds are stunning
We did not have breakfast but the location was vey nice and rural. Television reception was not good though.Nice an peaceful
