The room was spacious. Breakfast was ok.
Access was via an off-site security company who gave us a code to open the key safe for our room and there was no receptionist to help with any problems. The window frames were in a dilapidated state. It was unclear which people were guests and who were staff. The hotel was close to a busy road and our room was noisy.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful garden, beautiful room and lovely food. Very attentive and nice staff. Great to get access to Waddesdon manor included in the booking. Plenty parking and coffee machines in the room
It was a heatwave in the UK and the rooms (especially at the top floor) were boiling hot and you could not open the windows fully due to a fixed cable
Bed was very comfortable. On front of the property so on the road, but wasn’t noisy at night. Breakfast was ok. Eggs were pale and not inspiring
Room was not as expected. This was not a basic booking and all pictures showed comfortable chairs in the room to sit in. We had old dining chairs with straight backs in room 4, so would not recommend this. We booked on the basis of comfortable chairs so we’re sorely disappointed. Also the balcony was not clean. If you are a smoker good to have.
The location suited my visit very well, parking was ample and easy and the staff were great. The room was good with a comfortable bed and everything was clean. Breakfast was excellent.
The bar and restaurant only open from Wednesday onwards. I was aware of this when booking, but it was quite a negative factor. With no evening catering or bar and no lounge, this meant a drive into Aylesbury for an evening meal on the Sunday. Monday was better, with a decent pub just across the road serving evening meals. The shower over the bath was good enough, but a straightforward shower cubicle would have been much better.
Good service at breakfast
Noise from the road, noise from other rooms, noisy system in background = no sleep!
Basically closed on a Monday and Tuesday and you have to let yourself in, very unpleasant start.
Beautiful place with spacious bedroom and bathroom. Great staff and service at the breakfast.
Reception was very poor in service mind. We arrived late with prior notice. The receptionist did not welcome and guide us to the location of the room. I took a while to figure out where my room was. Not an impressive experience at the check-in.
Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Plenty of parking. Food was gorgeous and cocktails delicious.
No complaints at all!
The location is great if you are attending a function at Waddesdon Manor, it's just a five minute walk down the road.
The hotel is nice, with a bar, restaurant and plenty of parking, including a couple of EV charging points.
Our room overlooked the back garden and was a bit on the small side and warm in the evening (they provided a fan, which was helpful). Room had tea/coffee tray, a Dyson hairdryer, small wardrobe, window seat, clock radio, iron & board. The power shower was very nice and a night light for the bathroom is a nice touch.
Breakfast is cereal, pastries, porridge and various cooked plates (eggs all ways) with hot and cold drinks. You are asked to fill in a breakfast form for the following morning, giving an indication of time of eating and what you would like.
We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening. I'd recommend booking as it was busy. Food was nice if a bit pricey.
The garden was lovely, a nice place to have a drink.
All of the staff were helpful and very friendly.
Personally, I'd like blackout curtains.
If you are coming from the car park a more visible sign for the reception would be good as it's not in the main building. Like so many people, we went to the bar as the sign on the door said 'Entrance'.
Lovely atmosphere.
Staff excellent. Worked very hard.
Staffing could be better. More required.
The room was excellent, staff were all really friendly and helpful. Beautiful location. Entry to the Manor house was a good bonus.
The property is a beautiful old building with character.
Location was excellent for Waddesdon Manor
Hotel wasn't very well manned. Finding staff to check in and out was a problem and I had to look around the hotel a couple of times to find someone
Well run hotel.
Comfortable, clean room, plenty of hot water/tea and coffee/ nice toiletries.
Good quality food and excellent service. Small bar area but nice and cosy. Pretty garden with seating. Great location for walking to The Manor. Free entry too with the hotel.
Traffic noise at the front loud but secondary glazing in place to help.
Beautiful Hotel
Nothing
Lots of character and friendly staff. Weather was awful but it was cosy inside.
No complaints.
The friendly Staff, the food & the location. We will be returning there soon.
The atmosphere, the great staff, food & drinks.
