Howfield Manor Hotel

The food was of a high level both in the evening and for breakfast.
The staff polite and extremely helpful. I have as a former airline pilot stayed in many hotels, and I rate this amongst my favourites. Small clean relaxing clean and comfortable.

Hele mooie locatie in een mooie oude omgeving en pand, allerlei verschillende hoekjes met terras en mooie tuin. Heerlijk hegeten in ‘the old well’

Loved this hotel, stayed in the small double which was actually a very nice sized room and very comfortable. Lovely views to the garden and birdsong in the morning, The hotel grounds and outside seating areas are beautiful. We used the hotel restaurant for our three evening meals which were all very good and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was also very good. The onsite carpark had plenty of spaces. The staff were all very nice and we would stay there again.

The hotel is a bit out of the way so you need a car but the river walk into Canterbury is very pleasant. It is also possible to get a bus from the main road to Canterbury or Chilham but the bus stop is not clearly marked so best to ask the hotel staff.

Mooi pand, Engelse stijl waar ik persoonlijk van hou. Kamer had alles wat meeste hotels wel hebben. Vriendelijke meneer bij uitchecken. Lekker gegeten, ontbijt was ook prima, keuze van de kaart, met klein buffet

Well located, great staff service at reception, large room, and comfy beds.

Great breakfast menu lots of choice, nothing too much trouble, staff always willing to help, ate in hotel reasonably priced varied menu.

Breakfast- good choice though scrambled egg seemed overcooked - maybe due to current concern re salmonella in eggs in hospitality venues???
Lovely setting, peaceful and dark curtains meant a good nights sleep.

Très bel hôtel installé dans un ancien manoir, à seulement cinq minutes en voiture de Canterbury, au cœur d’un magnifique parc. Le personnel est aux petits soins et toujours prêt à rendre service. Bon petit déjeuner. Atout pratique : l'hôtel dispose d’un bar et d’un restaurant tout à fait satisfaisants.

The breakfasts were made to order and lovely. The gardens and grounds were beautiful. The staff were friendly and approachable. The old manor house was full of charm and character.

The room was small and the bed a bit too soft but the view was gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious, a lot to chose from. The hotel is beautiful, with big, well tended gardens. I would definitely come back.

Es war sehr sauber und das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit! Das Frühstück war ok.

The staff was so lovely and the building itself was very cool. There was a wedding going on and we couldn’t hear the party from our room, which was ideal.
