Desayuno muy bien y el sitio espectacular con mucho encanto
Había bastante polvo en el ventilador de la habitación. La cama no era cómoda
Location was good - setting was lovely
The shower was a nightmare - the shower head kept falling so water was splashing onto the taps rather than the usual arc - the water pressure was so low took forever to rinse my hair
The most iconic accommodation with nice staff. We had the best time!!
Lovely place great location for Canterbury
Lovely place and grounds but they are a function hotel so they have proms weddings parties frequently. There is a permanent marquee erected in the grounds next to the hotel. We stayed for two nights hoping for a quiet relaxing weekend and to visit nearby Canterbury. We were told on arriving there would be a prom on the first night and it would finish at 10.30 so we thought ok fair enough. It went on much later. The next night on returning from a day out there was another party which we were not warned about. This was an adults birthday party with kids running around the grounds and the music didn’t finish till midnight. I brought ear plugs but could still hear the thump of the music. The following morning the lovely gardens was sadly strewn with rubbish and broken beer bottles. We complained to the manager that we were not given the courtesy of being notified of any parties. If booking here ask before if you want a quiet stay. It is a lovely place and comfortable and food is good. I have nothing against people enjoying and celebrating but would have been nice to know before hand, we went home knackered not refreshed.
Close to Canterbury city centre. Nice historical building. Clean and tidy.
My bed was not very comfortable.
Location
Loud music at 12pm
Great location great staff fantastic food
Essen u Getränke zu teuer!
Good location
We were really looking forward to having breakfast but was very disappointing what was presented.
No fruit salad left and they had old bruised 1 pear, 1 apple and 2 overripe soft bananas. Asked for more but were told they don’t have any. Cooked vege breakfast wasn’t a buffet, had to order and only allowed like I of each egg, tiny beans, 1 mushroom, 1 tomato, 1 sausage and 1 hashbrown. And had to ask for more tea as that also wasn’t on help yourself!
The staff are amazing - made us feel very welcome. Food very tasty, Room clean and cosy.
Unfortunately, there was a school prom event being hosted at the time. Although this didn't cause any disruption to the service we were offered, the noise was very intrusive and lasted past 2300.
Prachtige accommodatie in een fantastische omgeving
Douchegordijn
Picturesque and beautiful
No warning of a function the night of staying. Was quite loud and next to our room unfortunately, normally this would not be an issue as we love a good party but after a long day out exploring I wasn’t aware and probably wouldn’t have booked it had I known beforehand that’s all.
Prachtige locatie, zeer vriendelijke mensen, prima eetgelegenheid!
