Wonderful stay in the heart of Bucharest
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Continental. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with a fantastic location right on Calea Victoriei, making it very convenient for exploring central Bucharest.

Our room was comfortable, spacious and very pleasant, and we also really enjoyed having access to the spa, especially the sauna and jacuzzi. The staff were consistently friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay.

Interestingly, a movie was being filmed inside the hotel during our stay, but everything was handled so professionally that it did not disturb us at all or affect our experience in any way.

Overall, we had an excellent experience and really enjoyed both the atmosphere of the hotel and the quality of the service. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Great Experience
Pros:

The location is excellent, close to Royal Palace with the wonderful art collection, close to the Cismigiu Park, the Atheneum and Old Town, Lots of beautiful restaurants around. The room was clean and spacious, comfortable beds, complimentary bottle water everyday. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Cons:

The only complain that I might have is that I didn't like the bathroom sink, It is probably modern in a way but is not practical at all, you could get wet very easily,

The check-in process was quite smooth. However, when you enter the hotel, there is no concierge, and I did not see anyone at the reception desk. There is a room behind the reception area where normally only one staff member is sitting, so you have to call reception for someone to come out and assist you. As I mentioned, there is no concierge or anyone else available in the lobby.

Breakfast was quite good, and I enjoyed it.

The building itself is very nice, but I feel that the maintenance of the property is not at the level it should be.

Cons:

The room itself is a bit dated. Although the room overall was clean, I was disappointed that the WC was not properly cleaned.

I also had a problem with the Wi-Fi. I called reception twice, and they came personally to check the issue. They confirmed that there was no Wi-Fi signal in my room. However, they explained that the IT staff were not at the hotel and could only try to check the problem remotely, which was the maximum they could do.

After around five hours of trying to resolve the issue, at approximately 9 p.m. they finally offered to move me to another room if I wanted, but by that time it was already too late for me to change rooms.

It is also quite obvious that the hotel is understaffed.
