Pros:

Location was relatively good, very easy to get to, the balcony was fantastic to sit and have coffee of a morning with a good view. Our bed broke at one point but this was promptly fixed. Had a cool vintage feel to it but could use a freshen up in parts as some of the furniture was musty. It was also the cheapest option we could find before going with a hostel (switzerland is expensive).

Cons:

Our “double room” was just 2 single beds, the frame in between the two made it very uncomfortable for us. The shower head thin and high pressure and actually hurt to shower. The bedside light didn’t work.

Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr gut, nicht weit vom Zentrum und vom Hotel aus kommt man schnell, auch mit dem ÖV, überall hin.
Praktisch fand ich auch dass wir das Gepäck noch dort lassen konnten während wir im Seilpark gingen

Leider gibt es keinen Frühstück

영어도 못하는데도 불구하고 하나하나 작성해주시면서 도와주시고 되게 유쾌하셔서 좋은시간 보냈습니다 뷰도 엄청나고 예뻤습니다 인터라켄에서 이런뷰 찾기 어려운데 좋았습니다:)

Poor bedding, noisy - bad night of sleep. Good location and

Cons:

I can forgive a place for being basic and run down, but can’t remember the last time I slept on such a bad mattress. To save costs on bedding and punish your guests with poor mattresses, pillows and bedding was too much for me. Plus the hotel is filled with people who have no concept of being quiet and respectful after 10pm. I recently stayed at the Premier Inn in UK where at least they had signs up reminding people to be respectful with noise for other guests.
Also, minor point, there was a kettle in the room but no cups … so made my coffee using the toothbrush glass.

Cons:

The room was in bad shape and poorly cleaned, especially the bathroom. The shower did not drain properly and we pulled out a massive, disgusting chunk of hair from the shower drain.

Pros:

Mattenhof Resort has a charming old-world look, which was actually the most beautiful and unique part of our stay. The property has a lot of character and great potential. With careful renovation and better maintenance—while preserving its historic charm—it could easily become one of the best places to stay in Interlaken.
