The Lodge is tucked away in a quiet cul de sac and was v close to where we needed to be (K2 leisure centre). Spacious room and the staff were friendly and helpful (if a little shy and disorganised). The bed was very comfortable.
Unfortunately I think someone had given up half way through preparing our room! We had no towels, no soap or toiletries, no pillow cases, no bath plug - all of which we noticed individually so were up and down the stairs from 3rd floor lots.
I arrived at the property last night and from the outside looked very run down, the car park was full of abandonded vehicles commercial and private. The paint was hanging off the building unlike the photos i had viewed online. I was very cautious and rang the bell several times before anyone attended the reception, the indian person who was at the counter then asked me agressively for £5 for the car park to which i responded by asking for a reciept & he refused. A Indian woman came out and gave him £5 cash for something but would not accepts my cash of £5. He insisted on sending me a link to pay which was not previously mentioned on the website, he asked for ID to which i produced my driving license and he swiftly took a photo of it without my permission and i told him to delete it. He then told me to leave that i could not stay at the property even though it was already paid for, it felt like it house immigrants there and left me with a cautious feeling, however my first feeling was not to challenge but leave and try to get a refund but the property is at the end of a council estate in a cul de sac which is not shown on the location map of the local area.
The reception service was terrible
The £5 cash charge for the parking and not being offered a reciept
There is no offical signing in forms
Being asked to provide my driving license and taking a photo without my permission
being told to leave as i challenged the person on his actions
Excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable
I stayed in a single room and it was very good value for the price. Quiet and met all my needs.
Reasonable price, stress free check in and out.
All good.
Pas pris car départ 5h30
Shower overal was clean to my suprise.
Rating of 4 star was ridiculous by any standards. However for the price wasnt expecting too much but was a real experience! Wouldn't recommend at all.
Not much to like except it was a room for one night.bed linen was clean.
Rooms were small and needed some fresh paint.the whole place needs some refurbishment. But it's fine if you want a room for the night.okay for a night.
Quiet and calm location for a nice relation
Location and price
Bed was really small and uncomfortable
Same like in the picture, quiet hotel , close to center and to the bus stop as well, exactly what you need from a lodge
I had no issues
