Pros:

Everything was to a high standard.
Greeted by very friendly reception staff (sorry we don't know the name) when we arrived on the 4th September afternoon

Lovely comfortable, spacious room. Would definitely stay here again. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful.

Lovely comfortable, big clean rooms. Beds are extremely comfortable & spacious.

Cons:

Rooms are a bit dark. Could really do with brighter lighting as found it difficult to apply makeup with the lighting not sufficient.
TV also not connected to the WiFi.

Great location for our stay, very comfortable and spacious room. Great value .

Exceptionally quiet at night despite its closeness to the main pub building.
Good size accommodation.

Cons:

Externally the lodges were looking a little tired, and in need of redecoration.

Comfortable, warm friendly hotel with exceptional breakfasts.
Pros:

The breakfasts were exceptional. We didn't have any evening meals because we were entertained by friends in their own home.
Beds were very comfortable. Staff very helpful and cheery.

Cons:

Nothing at all. We just need to plan our next visit earlier as all the single rooms were taken. We also need ground floor rooms because my friend and I have mobility issues.

Breakfast service on the Sunday morning wasn’t great. Asked for more pastries to be told no more will be served now even though breakfast hadn’t finished.

Very pleasant stay let down by breakfast issues on Saturday morning
Pros:

Location,Restaurant had good selection on menu and nice atmosphere.Staff were in the main friendly and helpful

Cons:

Stairs up to the room. Ordered soup and although it was delicious the portion was meagre and bad value for money.There was no decaffeinated tea available for all of our stay.
No butter for breakfast on Saturday only flora spread when queried we were told the kitchen had butter however none was brought out for us.

Good value for money, very comfortable.
Pros:

Very clean, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and the choice available was very good. Also had good car parking facilities. Very friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble. Really enjoyed our stay here, very relaxing.

Cons:

Room felt dark despite adequate lighting inside. However the accessible room was perfect for our needs.

A nice place to stay
Pros:

Lovely place to stay. Room was nice and clean. Shower was good . Bed was very comfortable. Food was ok, I would say pub grub. Location was ok, approx 20 min walk into Barnstaple

Cons:

Desert portions were on the small size. Coffee and cake deal was definitely not worth the price. No meet and greet by staff not even a good morning. No welcome at reception That said, we would stay here again.
