The manager noticed i was walking with a stick so kindly changed our room to a ground floor.
The room was basic but bed very comfortable. Good quality sheets and towels.
The toilet cistern continually flushed itself. So we didn't get much sleep!
Put the plug in the sink and then it wouldn't budge. So had to leave the water in the sink!
And finally the television remote took ages to register to put on and off.
I mentioned it to a member of staff as we were leaving. She suggested I email the boss. Which I have. I await a reply
The staff were lovely.
BRILLIANT THANKS
Típico inglés
La cama era cómoda pero se hundía un poco, el resto muy bien.
Very clean and comfortable, friendly professional staff
There's nothing i didn't like
Very comfortable. Good option along the Cotswold Way.
Location was lovely
Not very clean
Good location
Bar staff couldn't be anymore unhelpful
Clean
Pillows
Location
The room has little to no options for ventilation. So not suitable for summer trips. No robust fans are available or provided. The bar area leading up to the room had a musty and sour smell. There was no running water when we arrived, and we weren't informed of this during check-in or before arrival
We were promised a partial refund for the range of issues. This is the worst accommodation I've booked via Booking.com
Nothing
Most food options out of stock.
Room was in need of painting due to damaged walls.
Took over 15 mins to get served due to lack of bar staff.
Friendly staff. Good food. Room clean
I requested a ground floor room but none were available
The room was small & basic, but clean & tidy, with a good shower.
Both the evening meal & breakfast were really good.
The staff were friendly & helpful.
The pub is a bit isolated from any towns & villages, so you need to drive or get a taxi to visit anywhere
We were able to upgrade our room so ended up with one of the larger rooms with lots of space. The staff were very helpful at check in. The hotel itself has a real rustic vibe which we really liked. We had breakfast included but were leaving early the next morning to continue our Cotswold Way walk so the kitchen staff prepared breakfast boxes for us the night before which was much appreciated! The shower pressure in the bathroom was wonderful and much appreciated after a long day of walking.
We enjoyed our stay but it was an incredibly hot evening and it was frustrating that we couldn’t open the windows to let some air in. The hotel itself is in a pretty remote part of Old Sodbury so we ended up having to take the bus to the village center the next morning as the roads aren’t pedestrianised as far as we could tell.
Best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel, good friendly staff in the morning.
Rooms are adequate but working the shower you possibly need an Ology in something 🤔
It's clearly understaffed, when we arrived to check in a guy had been stood there for 20mins, (more fool him) I went to bar asked for reception, young lad said she's working in the kitchen 🙄
The youngsters unfortunately have zero charisma or communication skills, simple yes and no to any questions. Need better hospitality training.
The room clean, bathroom awesome. Bed very good. Bar was ok. First we waited almost 10 minutes to check in. We had just walked 14 miles.
Outside patio was very rundown and chairs broken. Dinner they were out of ALL salads and several other things. Plenty of staff but things took a long time.
