Great location, right in the middle of Huntingdon. Welcoming staff.
The entrance, bar, communal areas and room were very tired and a bit smelly. I understand the building is very old but that doesn't mean it can't be decorated occasionally and kept in good repair. The sash window in my room didn't work properly (the bottom sash I had to prop open with a teacup to stop it simply sliding closed) and the shower rail had been broken and was shoddily strapped together in one place with plastic zip ties. The room had a stale odour and felt musty, it and the rest of the areas need a deep clean and redecoration. For the price this was a poor experience.
breakfast was good - bedroom and corridors a little tired - just needs a freshen up on paint and some wood work area - otherwise all fine in a good central town location with decent alongside car park

Food was great, no complaints on that front. Bed was comfy. Staff welcoming, friendly and approachable.
Bathroom in need of updating/tidying up, but didn't really detract from enjoying stay.
Noise created out in the street late into the evening by the local 'riff raff'. Although beyond control of the hotel it didn't help us in settling down after what was a very long day.
Very relaxed place to stay. Super tolerant of dogs. Very accommodating of a large family group with young children and several dogs. Lovely courtyard that was very vibrant in the evening.
The hotel really needs refurbishing. It’s very shabby. A fridge in the rooms would have been useful.
