My stay was satisfactory.
Pros:

Hi there
The breakfast was generally satisfactory. The room was comfortable and clean although too warm with winter style duvets. Parking was a bonus.

Cons:

I stayed at the Hotel for a week. I must say that I didn’t find reception particularly welcoming and this was the same for many of the staff although not all. I’m used staying in hotels where staff greet guests pleasantly asking how was your day etc. This needs significant improvement in this hotel. The food was average, breakfast being much better with a couple of cheery welcoming staff to start the day. Overall fair to medium but given the volume of guests, this hotel has the capacity to be so much better in every way.

Ok, and will almost certainly visit again
Pros:

Good parking. Great breakfast (even better if had Black Pudding!)
Room a reasonable size
Decent bar food.

Cons:

Locking mechanism for bedroom was difficult to use, causing doubt about whether room secure.
Room generally was dated and could do with bit of TLC (eg. window motion and lock), although room was generally fit for purpose

Lovely old building with friendly staff and good food
Pros:

Large and comfortable room with a great bed. Desk is a good size for working with nearby sockets and a comfortable chair. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was great. Charming old building.

Cons:

The room could have been cleaned better before I arrived - it didn't look like the carpet had been vacuumed because there were a lot of bits around the room. The room was a bit noisy because of the single pane windows - I could hear everything going on below.

Acceptable with the potential to be better
Pros:

Good location, good parking, good reception and bar staff

Cons:

Room temperature, bar meal service, breakfast was average but one tiny bit of toast and one cup of coffee left a bit to be desired

Hotel fine, pub is good and food good but restaurant shuts early.
Pros:

The hotel was nice even if the room was a little dated. Check in staff were really friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy. Wifi in the room was great.

Cons:

I left an expensive T-Shirt in the bathroom by error on check out. I returned 4 days later on my way back and the T-Shirt couldn't be found. I was told that someone would call me back the following day as it must be stored somewhere. Im still waiting for someone to call me back.
The restaurant closes its kitchen at 9pm, which seemed early but the food was good.

Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the room quiet

Cons:

The key to my room didn't work properly and each time I tried to open the door it took at least 5 minutes to get in the room. The sash windows had such a large gap between the panes that you could fit a slice of bread through the gap (should you feel the need!)
