Didn’t live up to the photos online.
Pros:

The staff! They are great. Very friendly and attentive.

Cons:

The room was a good size but it definitely needed some tlc. Decor, carpet and bathroom need updating and it was cold because the central heating wasn’t operating. The bed however was super comfy.

Better options for cost around the area. Wanted to stay in castle atmosphere, got a hotel room
Pros:

Great location, staying in a castle should be cool, but room was just like any hotel room with the 2 biggest issues.

Cons:

Water pressure was bad. Sometimes we had no water. Even staff had hard time getting water to room. Long/high spiral stair case. No lift.

Pros:

Wonderful place! Gyp was my favorite as she was the most welcoming pup upon entering the location to check-in. My mother and I adored this place. We would stay again at this serene, lovely, beautiful and peaceful castle. It was perfect for what we were looking for and we really enjoyed everything about our stay.

Absolutely exceptional
Pros:

Exceptional hotel, fantastic staff and a wonderful room in a beautiful location. The food is gorgeous, the staff super helpful and friendly. Can highly recommend the whisky tasting too, Todd provided a not soon to be forgotten experience. We will definitely be back.

Very pretty, but crowded
Pros:

I had really high hopes for this booking. It was lovely, but so very crowded. It didn't have that cozy feeling with so many people. The breakfast was so loud and busy, we ate quickly and left. Dinner was similar (but wow, the pizza sure looked good). Same with the bar, darling design, but packed. So if you're looking for quiet and romantic, this may not be it. Additionally, there was extremely bright flood lighting outside, shining directly into our window. The wooden shutters only cut out so much of that light.

Great welcome. EV charging point in hotel Car park. Good room.

Although offered fresh milk for the room no fridge so small UHT milk pods would be good alternative

The best part was the quality of the staff are which made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.
Pros:

The room was comfortable and easily accessible. (my friend has poor mobility)
Breakfast was lovely and ample.
The restaurant was busy - we were glad we had booked a table. Menu good and food great.
The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Very grateful for that.
