Great location with beautiful terrace views and good food
Pros:

The view from the large outdoor terrace was beautiful. The staff were helpful and friendly. The meals were good value and excellent for anyone needs to be gluten free. It is a good location- a couple of minutes one direction to the small town centre and a couple of minutes in the other direction to the river where you can follow walking paths.

Always use the Royal if its on our route.
Pros:

It's a great location, with a lovely view of the Wye valley. Rooms are comfortable and staff good. Breakfast good. Didn't have evening meal, so unable to comment.

Cons:

Managed to park on site, though its always tight and hit and miss wether you get a place. The music outside on the veranda obviously brings the crowds in, but it really is ridiculously loud!!!

Lovely hotel in great location
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, overlooking the river. The terrace was a lovely place to have a drink whilst watching the river. The room was spacious although not air conditioned & the windows wouldn’t open very far. There were however a couple of big fans which helped keep us cooler at night. Breakfast was very good & the staff very friendly.

Cons:

Air conditioning & more drawer space.

Enjoyable stay- comfy room in friendly hotel with good food and drink offer and lovely large terrace
Pros:

Breakfasts were very good - continental plus cooked option for B&B. Breakfast staff really friendly and helpful.
Bars and restaurant had very good service - all staff very helpful. Food was good pub food and there is an extensive terrace facing the Wye river and countryside and it was a great place to watch the sun go down with a drink.
Room really large with great view of river, nicely furnished. Clean and comfortable.
Good location, a couple of minutes walk from the high Street.

Cons:

It would have been nice to have a fridge and safe in the bedroom- there was plenty of room for another unit (perhaps with tea tray on top?)
If it were possible, a lift would be helpful, given the range of ages of guests and the lack of help in carrying suitcases upstairs. It is a big building....

Over all very happy with facilities abd staff apart from issue with menu
Pros:

Lovely location really enjoyed our stay

Cons:

The only issue we had was we had bband evening meal when we arrived receptionist gave us a menu to look at in our room which we did when we we went down for our meal we had a different menu so we thought it was just a special day the next day we had the original
Menu half way through our meal the waitress said oh you have been given the wrong menu but don’t worry we will sort it but we had special menu for our sweet…we felt this was double standards we didn’t think we would be singled out for a lesser menu because we had booked bb and evening neal but disappointing we opted for b b and evening meal for convenience not for cheapness

Good location but not great in hot weather or with a heavy suitcase
Pros:

Central location with car parking

Cons:

Very hot with a fan but windows had very limited opening on restricters. Two very long flights of stairs with no lift or offer of help with suitcases and we are both over 70
