Pulito, silenzioso, perfetto per chi vuole visitare la casa di Jane Austen a Chawton (ci si può tranquillamente arrivare con una passeggiata). Ristorante offre alternative vegane, molto buono.
Everything was great. Location in the centre, comfortable mattress, great shower, no noise at all

What I liked
The staff were friendly and helpful, and they let me check in slightly earlier, which was appreciated. There was also plenty of free parking, you just need to enter your registration number at reception, which was really convenient.
The cleanliness could have been better. The carpet felt dirty and the room was very dusty, particularly around the light fittings. The room was also awkwardly sized and on a slope, fans the bed extremely high. My friend stayed at the hotel too and had a room almost twice the size, so it seems the experience varies quite a lot depending on the room.
There were also lots of stairs and heavy fire doors, which made getting around with luggage a bit of a pain. The stairs were dirty too and I saw used socks left in the corridor.
Also on one morning, there was a French car show being set up on the high street, with drums playing from 8am right beneath my window. The hotel hadn’t mentioned this beforehand, so a heads up would have been appreciated.
Excellent central location. Bar and restaurant clean. Room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were good. Breakfast very good. Only quibble, poor choice of draught beers but good pub over the road.
Some kind of function in progress in the afternoon with children running all over the bar.
Location and the staff were excellent. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were best I’ve had for ages.

The staff were brilliant and really cared and were helpful. Ruth particularly was superb and a real credit to the place
Room had plasterboard wall to adjoining room and so no soundproofing and could hear all conversation and activity until 1am and then knocking on door and slamming of door at 6am. Had very little sleep. Not an ideal situation when youve paid a lot of money for a good night's sleep. Bath exceptionally slippery and my husband had a really bad fall. There was a minute notice by the toilet ( not the bath) to say bath mats can be obtained from reception as bath can be slippery. This is no use as you can miss the notice and are not likely to undress and go to reception for a mat. This is a Health & Safety issue and the mats should be present in the bathroom.

Central location, lovely decor, spacious and clean room - MASSIVE comfy bed!
No lift was a bit of a struggle with having mobility issues.
Feel like they are a little short staffed as had to wait a few minutes to get checked in.
