The pub atmosphere and staff.
It was incredibly hot in the room, like a sauna. There was no remote for the television so it was of no use.
Its ok staff were friendly.
No sky sports as they do say they do
The continental breakfast is a good option. Link with Austen, but another resident said the staff hadn't known the way to her house!
I was unconfident re using the shower. I know the price was standard but it still seems quite a lot. I think if it included the continental breakfast that would make it good value.
Great location, nice staff, decent size rooms
In previous stays have rated much higher, but this stay hotel was a victim of the hot weather. Whilst a fan was provided, room could only have one window opened slightly (limited by safety catch) which made it unbearably hot and hard to get cooler due to window restrictions.
Great location and free car park.
Very noisy late at night and first thing.
Banging and crashing doors, we were downstairs so probably the kitchen next door.
Comfortable room otherwise and no stair's 👍😀
Lovely ground floor room in a characterful hotel, great location in the town centre. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful, excellent breakfast with quick service.
Nothing.
Its location
Moody staff member, could off had better air vans in rooms, we went on to the white buck in Burley, also a green king pub and there room air vans where much better.
Perfect location.
Nothing
Breakfast offered comprehensive choice, well prepared and served by attentive staff.
Hotel well situated in town centre, so excellent position for exploring beautiful Alton. Loved it’s quirkiness.
Visited during record breaking heatwave, so although a fan was provided, it would have been nice if I could have opened the window a little more. Is health and safety constraining you?
However it won’t prevent me from returning.
Comfy bed, nice breakfast, helpful staff, close to town centre
Lack of AC in hot weather. Bathrooms need an upgrade, clean just a bit old
Great location, my room was very far and high, incredibly hot.
Plus - I had a fan in the room.
Negative - window opens only a little. If the window opened - can't draw the curtains. Slept with a window opened and curtains opened - no blinds to protect privacy at night and to keep the sun out during the day. Easy to do. Why not done???
