I left some items behind and the staff very kindly located them and kept them till I was able to pick them up. Room was stylish and comfortable.
We weren't keen on the breakfast. Corridors were very hot although room wasn't too bad
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other people should know about my experience.
I booked a table for six people well in advance and had also contacted the hotel beforehand to ask if our table could be placed beside another booking for six friends. I was assured this would be arranged.
When we arrived, there was no table with our name on it and no organisation whatsoever. We explained that we had a booking, but instead of anyone taking ownership of the situation, one member of staff simply shrugged their shoulders. We were then told to rip another group’s name off a reserved table and just take it ourselves. I couldn’t believe that this was the solution being offered by a supposed 4-star boutique hotel. It was embarrassing, unprofessional and immediately gave the impression that customer service wasn’t a priority.
The evening never really recovered after that. What should have been a special get-together became stressful and disappointing.
What has upset me most, however, is how my complaint was handled afterwards. When I spoke to William, instead of acknowledging our experience or showing any empathy, I was told, “We’re a business trying to make money.” That response alone spoke volumes about how customer concerns are viewed. Before I could continue the conversation, he ended the call.
I wasn’t looking for anything unreasonable—just an apology and for someone to acknowledge that the evening had been handled badly. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed and as though our experience simply didn’t matter.
For a hotel that advertises itself as a 4-star boutique venue, both the service on the night and the way the complaint was dealt with afterwards fell well below the standard I expected. Sadly, I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.
The beer garden was lovely.
Room nice.
It was very expensive for just a double room with no breakfast or other facilities such as pool/ spa
Massive room with lovely decor. Great location. Big bathroom with bath and separate large shower. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Buffet part of breakfast was great.
The bottom of the shower cubicle leaked very badly. Breakfast eggs were super greasy and overcooked.
Beer garden and bar is lovely.
The noise you can hear through the walls.
Great choice for people who travel by car. Short walk to the train station to explore the city. Comfortable room.
Great location. Very clean and comfortable.
Free on street parking right outside.
Not too far to walk to restaurants.
Good location
Shower pressure very poor. Room and bathroom were 'tired' and in need of an upgrade.
Stayed here for a concert at Hampden park was 3 minute walk from local train station, and a 10 minute walk to the stadium so location was perfect.
Cracking beer garden out the back serving food all day also
The Hotel was perfect for our 2 night stay. We couldn't of asked for a nicer Hotel. The staff and service were outstanding and the restaurant has great food. What more could you ask for, we would highly recommend it for future stays..
Loved all of it. Nothing ro complain about.
Staff were friendly and helpful on check in. Within walking distance of Hampden stadium.
Overly inflated prices due to concert and cost just under £1000 for 2 nights!
Room tiny and had ripped wallpaper and wardrobe door hanging off and lightbulbs out.
Restaurant facilities withdrawn so no access to meals.
Housekeeping staff walked into room unannounced both days even though there was a do not disturb sign on door so massive privacy issue.
Wedding guest in function room tried to stop us entering hotel at main entrance as they said they had booked whole hotel for private function.
Staff on check out barely looked up and were uninterested.
Emailed to complain but communication slow and and had to chase replies numerous times. Also denied having seen a response by email even though I had a paper trail.
1st compensation offer involved us having to spend more money and 2nd only offered 10% back.
Hotel is described as luxury boutique but there's nothing luxury about it. Please avoid at all costs.
Lovely location, quiet and peaceful, just a short walk to the station for regular trains to the city centre.
Nothing.
Location
The “King” bed was two doubles pushed together.
Clean, comfortable, large room (I did take advantage of "free upgrade"). Location is excellent ( and very convenient for me) . Very nice overall ambience.
Breakfast was very good but possibly a little overpriced (@ £15) , would possibly have been cheaper as part of a package.
The room was beautiful and exceeded all our needs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - very quiet which made for a great nights sleep.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
