Interesting very enjoyable
Pros:

Decor Icelandic the dolls and carvings. Hot tub beautifully appointed bathroom And room.
Attention to detail in the decor.
Area is beautiful restaurant opposite and breakfast very good value. We had to leave early but they made delicious sandwiches to take.

Okay place to stay
Pros:

Friendly staff, and breakfast was good!

Cons:

The room was outdated with scuffs on walls, paint chipping in the bathroom, and everything looked well used. The sulfer smell was intense, and we understood it was expected, but it wasn't as strong at any other hotel/guesthouses we stayed at.

Bagno vecchio con tenda da doccia scomodo, lavandino molto piccolo quasi inutilizzabile

Parcheggio troppo piccolo, abbiamo dovuto parcheggiare sul retro del ristorante dall'altra parte della strada

Good hotel overall
Pros:

We had a three-person room, and the beds were clean and comfortable. One was a put-me-up bed, but still comfortable.
Breakfasts were excellent - the children in our party particularly enjoyed the waffle maker. Out of the three different hotels we used in this holiday, Hotel Viking breakfasts scored highest.
The fact that the hotel is right by the sea front (no sand) is great for strolls around the harbour, with some handy shops nearby.

Cons:

The room felt a little tired, even though it was clean, and the bathroom could benefit from a refresh but again, it was all perfectly clean. The only problem in the bathroom was a lack of places to hang or store clothes while getting ready in the morning. A shelf above the sink was at the perfect height to get in the way when trying to wash or shave, and too close to the corner for left-handed shavers. The shower also had a slight slope away from the drain, so left a pool for the next person to stand in. But these are small issues and didn't detract from our stay. A new wing is in the process of being added - this may allow the older rooms to be renewed.

Pros:

The hotel is excellent, very nicely decorated, and has a perfectly comfortable and big bed (hotel room). The staff are friendly and helpful. Since we checked out in the middle of the night because of our flight, they prepared sandwiches for us for the road, which were really delicious.

Cons:

My only complaint is the shower, which doesn't have a handheld showerhead — just a fixed rain shower head up top, which makes it harder to shower thoroughly. But the hotel doesn't deserve a lower rating because of this, since I've seen this in several hotels in Iceland, so it's clearly the norm there, even though it personally doesn't suit me at all. But all in all, a very pleasant stay. 🙂
