Good size room, historic interior

Very disappointing stay. The carpets were extremely old, dirty, and full of dust, making the rooms feel unhygienic. There was no air conditioning or even a fan, and the rooms had a very unpleasant smell throughout our stay. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. After this, I'm seriously reconsidering using Booking.com, as the quality of this property was completely unacceptable.
Very comfortable bed had an amazing nights sleep. Staff were really friendly
Room clean and modern, staff very friendly, top service, we requested a cot and a room with aircon, everything was ready when we arrived. Location is perfect, many restaurants around, and Tesco is right next door. Parking was also easy and free.

Very central location. Beautiful property. Lots of old features retained but still modern and clean.
Everything was great. The staff especially were so friendly and helpful. With parking, with everything.
None of the windows opened up, all blocked off by double glazing and the room had no air con so was very hot to sleep in
Staff, location , cost, late night residents bar and room facilities were excellent.
Sadly there is no A/C in my room which did make for a difficult nights sleep due to the extreme temperature in the room on probably one of the hottest days we’ve had for years…. But wouldn’t stop me booking this accommodation on cooler days.
